There is absolutely nothing in my Steam history that would suggest I would be into that kind of thing. Meanwhile, it has to ask me my age every time I look at the store page for a game rated M for Mature.

Saw it on mine too. Saw a theory by someone else that because Cyberpunk is tagged as having nudity it's causing games like this and other H-Games to pop up as recs.

I've also been playing VR a good amount (Beat Saber) which is probably also contributing to the number of suggestive anime games I've been getting.

the main character is a girl who grows a dick one day and not a natural futa which is disappointing to say the least. it also just came out so even during the sale it's not getting much of a discount. definitely feeling less enthused about this after noticing some more warning signs but i guess we can all at least hope that this brings futa more into the mainstream if nothing else.

I regularly read hentai but can't stand futa at all. Wish it had recommended something more to my taste

You know that extra pop-up you get when Steam boots up, with images for like 2-6 games? I got a pic of it in that. It was also on the rotating banner at the top of the page on a routine basis, which was what I really found jarring, because that lets you see the first four images associated with a game if you mouse over it, and guess what the first pic is. Like, no warning (for me, since I didn't know what futa meant.) Just there and in your face.

Currently, yes, it's further down the page. But it also was tossed into my discovery queue.

Oh, I went through two discovery queues and it didnt show up.

I dont know if its why Im not seeing it, but I have basically zero Japanese games in my giant Steam library, so theres very little even tangentially related for it to make a recommendation.

Algorithms are pretty advanced. They can tell which games your community viewed, and recommended. Outlandish things have a high chance of being shared so sometimes you have things like this that spread like wildfire because it knows people like you make topics about it and therefore it's shared with more people as a result. Reply All has a great episode about if facebook listens through your microphone that covers this (spoilers, they don't, they have enough data on you without a microphone to know what you're going to do/buy/share before you actually do it.)

the reviews are "Very Positive" for right now but i suspect a majority of them are normies who are amused at the seeming novelty of it. i scanned the discussion section and the common sentiment is the expected mix of disbelief, feigned regret and the "balls vs. no balls" argument.

i would be willing to spend the ten big ones though if nobody takes the initiative. it would be good for the fellow futa fanatics on the board.
