I just don't add Steam games until I install them. I don't really buy random stuff during sales but I do get bundles sometimes and I don't bother adding the games unless I plan on playing them in the near future.

i use excel spreadsheets because its not just for games, but also for movies, tv shows, anime, books, etc. I tried using backloggery and good reads and whatever but then i end up forgetting about some of them and not keeping them up to date. I'm mega comfortable with excel so this is natural to me.

It also lets me maintain a decision making spreadsheet that includes what's currently active for me in each category and my top choices in my backlog to help me decide what to do each day before I just drift into general reddit browsing and youtube / twitch viewing for hours on end

Haven't for like a decade when I gave up at the daunting task of trying to add every game I've played. Every now and then I think about doing it and just don't want to commit the time.

Eh yeah I just tried to use it again after not doing it in years and it does seem rather cumbersome.

I'll check it out when the redesign comes in.

I still use it to track what I own physically. I've pretty much given up on tracking stuff I own digitally though, especially if it was cheap or free.

I've found that howlongtobeat.com is a lot better for tracking my actual backlog. Just having the estimates on hand of how long each game will take is a game-changer.

Wiped my Backloggery to start from scratch. Added my Switch games and added beaten/completed statuses. Have to go through the fighting games to add "Null" but otherwise...my Switch backlog is pretty inexcusable.

Can't say since I don't have an iphone. :/

But it's great because it can import stuff pretty easily for Backloggery, PS3-5, Vita, Xbox, Steam. There are some quirks but it's much easier than inputting every game by hand!

Most of its pretty good but I really hate how they don't have categories for certain games like PS1 classics on PS3 or PS2 classics on PS4

Or how if I have a Japanese game I like to put in the Japanese title but this won't allow that without a manual entry

or how it doesn't know at all what dragon warrior is only dragon quest

Edit: nevermind, the friends tab is just a local list to keep tabs on people you've lent games to. Would have been nice when 13 year old me lent out my copy of Dynasty Warriors 3!
