there really isn't one, technically speaking.

the controller is nothing special and is just a copy of the xbox one controller, even the rumble in the triggers is something xbox has had for a while.

the series x is actually faster than the ps5's supposed fastest in the world ssd (the ps5 is just an m.2 gen 4 ssd)

it's also a massive unit, like it's larger than the original xbox.

it really just comes down to exclusives. do you like uncharted? do you like the uncharted: the last of us? then probably get the ps5.

but if you want better performance in multiplatform games, or anything bethesda releases now, maybe get an xbox.

the new Xbox is going to have another bad halo game made by 3v4i and maybe another gears. everything else is on ps5. so unless you really like halo and gears, dont get the new Xbox.

The Series X is superior to the PS5 in every way. There's really no reason to get a PS5. This is going to be the first Playstation I pass on, and I've owned every single one of them from the first one.

The only game last gen that made me feel bad for not having a ps5 was Zero Dawn. I've wanted a good turok game and I guess robo dinos are better than no dinos. Also anyone else see the latest turok official game.

well considering all the great exclusives Sony has put out in recent years I hope they continue that practice of crushing wills that would make their games worse

They do make good exclusives, but that doesnt mean that they should be able to alter games from japanese games just because they dont think they "meet western standards".

Imagine trying to censor a butt in an M rated game.

Can't think of a single Sony exclusive I'd buy the console for. The bc support on the series x does seem pretty nice though. Seems that the ps5 bc only does ps4 stuff and nothing else, which is a huge disappointment. I could understand skipping ps3 stuff, but ps and ps2 stuff should be easy for the thing to emulate. Second Horizon game is about the only thing I'm interested in and not nearly enough to buy a console for though. Spiderman is on ps4, so I could just play it there if I cared, but I didn't really love the first.

It's pretty short, reuses the same gang hideouts, there's only two new supervillains to fight... For anyone who enjoyed the first game, it's great and you'll certainly have fun with it, but it's absolutely not worth full price. I'd say wait for a steep sale. Like, $20. Maybe less.

And I say this as someone who doesn't care for Xbox and has devoted most of their gaming time over the past several years to PlayStation consoles. Got the platinum in the first game as well as in Miles Morales. Fun game, not worth $50

Lmao. The PS5 looks huge! I definitely plan on picking one up at some point in the future, but I wonder how long it will be till they come out with a slim version.

Neither console has enough going for it at the moment.

Sony has had the better exclusives for a while now though, and I don't see that changing any time soon.

There is pretty much no reason to buy either console right now. Demon's Souls looks great but I'm definitely waiting til sometime next year to get a PS5.

I've been away from gaming for like a decade and not sure what I expected, but I've been really underwhelmed at the jump to this new generation.

I'm aware we've far reached a point of diminishing returns, but it just doesn't look all that substantial of a jump to my very casual gamer eyes.

Just a big ol' meh from me.
