I feel like the bosses do have a timer on them. If you take too long, Stormterror will just nuke the platforms and the wolf will summon mini wolves. The Oceanid also summons a whirlpool at your feet if you take too long with any individual wave.

oceanid one is 100% intended, never seen the wolf one, and stormterror's enrage seems to happen after 3 times every time so i really doubt it's a glitch but instead intended design yeah

fun fact: oceanid instakill timer ticks down when you're paused, apparently

yeah that stormterror result is basically a DPS/healing check. kill him fast enough you'll never see it, don't and you'd better be able to heal a lot.

i've never seen the wolf one but at the same time i've never had to struggle too much with him because Fischl is that good.

Oceanaid timer only kills 1 person though and then resets. Found that out last night when I triggered the fight and had 2x Water ranged characters, 1x Fire melee and 1 dead character as I forgot to revive. And that fat frog savaged my melee and then my water heroes couldn't do anything

yeah, the enrages in this game are all soft and dealable with

heavily encourages faster play in general, but for these bosses it doesn't strictly enforce the timer for failure

only time i saw the stormterror one personally was the day after i pulled keqing at rank 40~ and wanted to try her out there because stormterror has always been trivial to me

turns out if your main dps is underequipped it's not quite that easy!

i still cleared by abusing the amenoculus glides between enemy attacks though. only healer was xingqiu

I had 100% Galesong Hill and today when getting the shards in that area I found a chest. Not sure if the % dropped below 100, but its at 100 right now.

Hmm so far I dont see any new meteorite ones for today, but maybe it updates later in the day. I got the new quest to pop up at least. Monas voice is pretty nice. This is my first time actually seeing/hearing her.

There's apparently going to be a patch to make the 1.1 story fight in the Golden House easier. Were people really complaining that much about it? It didn't seem that bad to me.

I died a few times but the fight was good as is. Just have a healer or 2. I really hope this doesnt become a trend to appease players complaining about the game and getting their way. #getgud

Cleared out 8 meteor fights or whatever you want to call them for 160 resin. Seems like this is replacing the daily gathering since I still havent seen other areas have small ones to find again

I feel like such a dumbass. I just locked myself out of my account.

I can't remember what my password is, but I never need to because the game autosaves it. Last night, when I backed out to the title screen, instead of clicking on the "power" button that ends the program, I clicked on "log out" by mistake. Now I have to enter my password. I tried a bunch of things I frequently use, and then it told me my account was frozen for the next 20 minutes.

In the meanwhile, I figured I'd click "forgot password" and try to decipher what it is in the meanwhile, and I get a message that there's no security questions and that I have to contact customer support instead.

edit: Okay, I'm in.

compared to other content of the game it was pretty difficult.
which is to say, you had to actually pay attention, use the wall to remove the marks, and memorize his attacks. if you ate 3* or better food and took an electric potion you'd be fine. it's pretty easy to get caught in something and your character's KO'd as a result but pay more attention.

if anything i'd just request his transformation scene to be skippable.

I think Childe's pretty easy already, TBH. There are plenty of things I've done in game that were more challenging. Trying to beat some of these domains is pretty awful. The encounters during this event today are absurdly hard. I get beat up far more by the wolf than by Childe. I really don't understand the motivation for nerfing the encounter.

I've done a couple fragile resin for this second stage, but not out of necessity, but rather I was playing coop with a friend and we wanted to continue beating up enemies for easy rewards.

Just devoting your normal resin for the week to the event will easily enable you to get all the shop rewards you want.

did you fight his story version at 38 or 40? that's the version they're nerfing and people have wildly varying experiences with it depending on their own gear level and world level

I was 42, I believe. That's not the point, though. Mechanically, it's not that hard a fight to beat on your first try as long as you're patient and fight defensively. He has one attack that will insta-jib anyone. Besides that, you should just be able to out-range and dodge all his attacks. Unlike, say, Boreas, where he does such a large sweep of an attack that you'll get hit if you try to run out and you have to i-frame everything.

Also, speaking of varying experiences, I just did another four of those meteorite challenges, and they were laughably easy by comparison to the first four. I don't think I had ever had nearly as miserable an experience in my time playing Genshin Impact than I did trying to finish those first four challenges. I know just what I wanted to do was fight fire-resistant fatui and treasure hoarders with my double-fire team, when they seemed to have a million billion HP, walked out of the circle constantly, and hit me for 8k per swing.

Then the next batch were all ice challenges with slimes and hilichurls, and I facerolled them.

Yeah, those Fatui gave me some trouble at first. I realized I could ignore the sniper that was outside of the ring and just focused on the hammer and other one that spawned after a kill.

Yeah, but killing those hammer guys is basically impossible to begin with, unless you're running ice. It's fine if you've got them solo and can wail on them, but that wasn't the case here.

Easiest encounters so far have been cryo slimes and Fatui agents, which was just on agent at a time. The other are pretty tough. The enemies are so agressive, they don't flinch, and Hillichurl crossbowmen fire 5 bolts at a time. It's like fighting in the Abyss.

Just hit AR45. I'm kind of reluctant to take the world level up, but it won't affect these event nodes, will it? The level 75 ones are rough enough as they are.

I don't believe so.

I will note that the weekly bosses hit a good deal harder (besides stormterror who still is hard to die to but is a lot tankier). All of the bosses take a lot longer to kill as well (I would say they have like 50-75% more health on average as a guess)
