The language is completely dehumanizing. Notice the terms. "Illegals" and "into the wild". The latter is something you'd say about a wild animal, not about a human being.

It's exactly the type of language that takes root in conservative circles. I doubt Corrik even realizes how dehumanizing it is to use these terms because it's become completely normal speak among conservatives. So he'll of course deny it being xenophobic, instead of stopping to think "Hey wait, maybe it is a bit dehumanizing. Maybe I should reconsider how I word things." It's the conservative mindset. They never do anything wrong, and they never stop to consider how the way they put things might be abusive. Mostly because they've been conditioned to expect this as the new normal.
