Yeah I looked at what she does, and she's not too bad in general. She kinda triples as a tank/healer/dps. Well DPS for me cuz I got that sword, and it buffs the entire party's atk by like 40% or something if I attack an enemy with 30% hp or below with her

I've downloaded it about 4 times now but get bored of it and uninstall. It's a good game but it's useless to auto and the amount of levels in each chapter usually tires me out. Should I be downloading it for a fifth time?

I understand the gear rollercoaster, now with the incline going back up towards Burst and LD weapons. I quit for a while too, but came back in time for EX+ and never looked back.

The chapter quests are tiresome because you have to get through a lot of easy stuff to get to the challenge at the end but the way I look at it is, easy gems. Especially since I don't even care about the story.

I started playing Opera Omnia again recently because of Aranea :3

But yeah auto is dumb af. I really wish they could do something about it <_<

I don't mind the gear rollercoaster the problem was it was too difficult to raise multiple Ex+ characters because the ingots were extremely rare. A new banner would come out and I'd be like "eh whatever not enough ingots" and then I'd just stop caring entirely.

Okay so this kinda sucks. I spent hours in Naruto x Boruto Ninja Tribes rerolling for Itachi. Dozens upon dozens of rerolls, and I even got a 4 star UR (the rarest pull with a .2% drop rate) on two occasions. But God damn I just wanted Itachi, so I sacrificed even my pull with a 4 star Hebi Sasuke, one of the best units in the game.

Way later when I finally got Itachi, I just felt...empty. Like I didnt want to play anymore. I had fun playing before, so I find it weird that all of a sudden when I get who I want, I lose interest. Maybe I was subconsciously hating the game more and more with each reroll, after seeing hundreds of Inos and Chojis <_<

The graphics are solid but not intense enough to make my old S7 explode from the strain like Genshin Impact would. The basic gameplay is like a bullet hell shooter, but instead of just scrolling in one direction, enemies come at you from all sides. There's an auto-battle function you can use to have the girls aim and shoot for you (you still have to activate their special abilities yourself) but if you decide to take full control, the gameplay is pretty fun. I don't know if there's any PvP mode or how a PvP mode would even work with this style of gameplay, but even if there is one, I'm not worried about it.

The gacha system seems pretty player-friendly from my first impressions. Each girl can be pulled at one of 3 base rarities (1-3 stars) and I don't think there's any difference between the different rarities of each girl besides their base stats. The rate for pulling a 3-star character in the gacha is 3%, which is pretty generous. Pulling a higher rarity version of a girl you already have at a lower rarity merely upgrades the one you have to the higher rarity rather than giving you a whole new one, and pulling duplicates of same or lower rarity for a girl you have gives you tokens that you can save up and use to rank up your girls without pulling the higher rarity versions. So it feels like getting a good chunk of the girls to 3 stars might not be too difficult.

However, the maximum rarity is 4 stars, and you can't directly pull those. You get 1 token for the girl for a duplicate 1-star, 10 tokens for a duplicate 2-star, and 100 tokens for a duplicate 3-star, but it takes a whopping 700 tokens for a girl to raise her from 3 stars to 4, on top of the 200 it takes to go from 2 stars to 3 if you're not lucky enough to pull her as a 3 along the way. But if 3 stars is enough to clear most of the content and getting a 4th for a girl is just seen as a bonus, then it's not too bad, especially if there's no actual PvP and you don't have to worry about whales with full teams of 4-star girls.

Also, there is a completely separate gacha to get memoria cards to equip to your girls for boosts, so if you're pulling for the girls, there are no memoria to bloat the pool and lower your chances at the girls. This is awesome and I wish other games did the same thing.

The opening roll is really easy too. At the beginning, you get a free, guaranteed, infinitely re-rollable 3-star girl (so you can start with your favorite girl right away) in addition to enough gacha currency for a pair of 10-rolls. Plus, the game uses a simple backup ID/password system (no need to link to Google Play or anything) and your account is automatically assigned one when you start. So if you really feel the need to start all over and re-roll, you can constantly try again and again but still save the ID/password from your previous good attempts so you can stop at any time and say "I'll just go with the one I had before".

If this game ever comes out in English, I absolutely recommend it to people who might be interested in a gacha game with military-style characters and/or bullet hell gameplay, even for people who aren't already a fan of the World Witches franchise. But if you are a fan of the franchise already, it's worth trying out this Japanese version and then jumping over to a possible English version later on, which is what I plan to do.

Yeah guaranteed rerolls are best. These are things I wish more gachas would do

• Infinite reroll with a guaranteed max rarity unit or at the very least a ticket to choose a character
• Skippable cutscenes
• A pity system
• Allow multiple people to use the same name (Im looking at you, 99% of Korean games <_<)
• AI that isnt completely braindead like War of the Visions or Opera Omnia
• No nerfing characters unless absolutely, positively game breaking
• A permanent daily gem card
• Dailies are like Arknights where you can choose from a list of things to get you points, rather than having to do specific tasks
• Collabs :D

I would definitely play this if it comes to global. It kind of feels like an evolution of Azure Lane. Now I'm waiting on this and Final Gear to come on over.

Welp... World Witches apparently has a game-breaking bug right now that essentially locks you out of the game after you beat mission 2-8. It forces you into a tutorial for the Patrol feature, which then gives an error message and kicks you back to the title screen. The tutorial prompt is unavoidable, so you keep getting forced into the broken tutorial every time you load the game and can't do anything else.

Up to this point, my first impression of the game was pretty good, so hopefully this bug gets fixed fairly quickly and I can play some more.

Those are all really great points you brought up, actually.

Now normally I'm not one for moe military hardware stuff, but I'm familiar enough with Strike Witches beyond just that aspect (even if said familiarity is mostly due to bottomless kemonomimi shenanigans). Having a reprieve for my ineptitude with motion controls also means this will be playable for me, unlike what happened with Genshin Impact (but that's a knock against me and not that game).

Not being in English however is probably the biggest hurdle, as I would prefer being able to read and understand the text without needing a guide or reference.

In the meantime I guess I can agonize over who my 3-star freebie would be. Choosing between Francesca, Charlotte, or Lynette won't be easy.

Man I really miss Mobius Final Fantasy.

There were only 5 characters so the only difference was the weapon / jobs / cards you gave them and since they could all use the same cards they were all viable. Jobs faded in and out of viability but you could still use the character.

The game-breaking bug in World Witches already got fixed while I was sleeping, so that's good. There are still a few smaller bugs I'm seeing (I can only do one supply mission per day before it bugs out and won't let me select more) but nothing that completely stops progress or gameplay.

Honestly they need to do some auto farm without actually making you use the AI until they roll out all the AI updates. Kinda sucks for people who have units with bad AI. I was lucky enough that the AI actually controls Eva extremely competently and Sohee being so simplistic that it works out

Also Action Taimanin is pretty meh. I mean the fact that they have a game about such a wonderful "anime" is kinda funny, but the gameplay is boring IMO. And I think there are only 3 playable characters :<

I just had a thought. For GT, it's not like we're slacking on the raid per se, but we're still like >1000th place as a guild. That means there are actually quite a sizable number of guilds active on global right now.

Lots of memes about Genshin running this game dry or the evo stone grinding leaving bad tastes in the mouth but I guess it's difficult to get ppl to quit this game cuz of the quality story mode that at least has a steady release schedule

I just realized Kakao is publishing World Flipper in the west.

Also we used to be a bit higher on the rankings but after the latest inactivity purge not many new sign ups happened. We are still sitting at 16/30 which I think is where I left it. We used to be sub 1000.

The game is also extremely low maintenance which seems good at keeping people around in general.

Edit: also IDK if you saw but they're changing the evolution system. You now upgrade characters in blocks of 40 instead of having to farm all 840 (for just rank 4-5) at once.

I think they should implement a block trade. Element for element. I know you can already kinda do it by trading for those purple crystals but man that's a really bad exchange rate. I think 10 rare for 1 unique is fair.

World Witches got a patch that fixed all of the bugs that I've been experiencing and now it feels a lot better. I really hope this game gets an English release at some point... and of course that said English release doesn't die in less than six months.
