Not really. People are fleeing from central America largely because of a situation that the US have engineered over several decades of intervention and destabilization. Every president since has played a part in this. The Obama administration inherited ICE from the Bush administration and oversaw continued activities. The point here is that yes, Trump is absolutely bad, super bad, but the Democratic establishment has been heavily complicit in this situation as well. And there's a bit of a narrative that all these atrocities start and end with Trump. I wish that were the case but it isn't. And until a Dem presidential candidate actually acknowledges that then I'm very skeptical that they actually care about improving the material conditions of Hispanics.

I didn't mean the general sentiment. Pretty much immigration is an ongoing issue and no administration has dealt with it in a "good" way. I agree with you there. But the idea that Obama's admin built these camps, specifically, is a misleading claim.

Can be misleading depending on what my point is. If my point is that "it's really Obama who put all the kids in cages" then yeah it's a little misleading because obviously Trump policy plays a large part. But if my point is that what Trump is doing now is enabled by past admins, both Bush and Obama, then I don't think it's very misleading. Immigration is, like you say, an issue where both sides of the aisle have fucked up for a long time.

And yeah Rebel if you want to scream "both sides" at me feel free, I'm sure Hispanic refugees will care greatly which team is president when ICE agents and border patrol abuse them

They inserted the Russia narrative to keep credulous people hooked, and the aspect linking the military was an attempt to fracture his support there, which is high. If you dissect most political stories coming out today with a careful eye, it becomes apparent what the angle is. And that angle has nothing to do with honest reporting.

If youre calling it a fucking genocide, yeah, the degree is pretty goddamn important. Is me kicking a dude in the balls genocide? No.

11% of women age 40-44 have had hysterectomies. 600,000 hysterectomies are performed every year in the united states. 20,000,000 women in America have had a hysterectomy. I think a lot of people need to educate themselves on the procedure and the sometimes life threatening conditions it is performed under.

The issue is with them not being clear with the patient as to what is being done. That is a SERIOUS issue and a human rights violation. That is what needs to be addressed. Framing this as some malicious attempt at the extermination of hispanics is purely politics, and misses the areas that actually need reform.

Do you treat a hispanic holocaust, shutting down these systems and medical support for people who may have never recieved proper medical support?

Or do you find ways to better communicate the recommended procedures so these women can be given proper knowledge of their conditions and choices?

These women werent drugged and forced into this, and the solution isnt to treat that. There was an extremely severe breakdown in communication that led to a serious human rights violation. Address the real issue and help real people.

What exactly are you saying here? That this is population control on the smallest scale known to man? Maybe you need to see how expensive the procedure is. I dont give a fuck about the feelings of these people committing human rights violations, I care about a real solution.

I would suggest, again, trying to understand the reasons women undergo the procedure. To assume that these cases arent treating one of those and that its actually the most expensive and inneffective form of population control of all time is a little out there, wouldnt you say?

Where exactly, EXACTLY, did I say I supported ANYTHING but finding a solution to what happened here? Im willing to hear that I phrased something poorly on the way, but you should gather from me mentioning that this was a horrible human rights violation half a dozen times that Im not supportive of what happened here, I just think the reasons for why this happened are being misconstrued for pretty obvious reasons.
