Man it has to seriously change, I saw 3 episodes before giving up. The first had undead candy zombies, which they defeated by having all the other candy creatures think they were pinyatas. The second had lumpy cloud creatures, infect the dog with lumpiness and then they had to get a cure, and the third had a ice king who imprissoned all the princesses and I just gave up after that. I mean, they would be cool for a kid but there was nothing at all there for me as an adult, maybe it gets better. I like many shows made for kids (usually with hidden stuff for adults in them), but the first 3 episodes at least were like, for really young kids, or seemed like it to me. --- Tacobot 3000 "Saving the world from not having tacos." But I haven't seen every episode, so I decided to binge the series. It does start off kind of slow, but has a lot of lore that comes into play later. It kind of gets dark, IIRC... I saw like the first 3 or 4 episodes in season 1, so I may skip to episode 5 or 6, that way I don't miss too much stuff. I'll give adventure time .....more time....lol, but it was a pretty wacked conversion from watching Misfits, to watching Adventure time lol. I mean I watched solar opposites before misfits and enjoyed that, but the conversion wasn't anywhere near as bad as misfits to adventure time. Haven't even considered archer, but I probably should at some point. I tried to watch little fires everywhere (I love Reese) but A: Reese looks old in it, and that was making me feel old and B: the first episode was depressing and I really don't wanna watch something depressing right now. I may do adventure time and always sunny in small doses, and figure something else to watch (I still have about half the episodes of misfits to watch, but they ditched the nathan char, kinda like a doctor who thing going on there. I know the British can totally roll with changing out characters/actors but it still bums me out and I have to take a break when that happens. I guess hiring someone like Rebecca Sugar who absolutely hated Finn and Jake, had no use for the central premise of going on adventures, and who generally viewed the material with open antagonism, paid off. --- This album is not available to the public. There was one with an elephant that ate an apple at the end and exploded, another where Fin goes on a quest for a book for heroes that teaches him how to kiss a princess and then this one is about a jiggler but I'm stopping for now. This is still extremely juvenile and seems for very young kids, but I'll just watch it in small bursts and see if things radically change later or something. I've heard it has DnD undertones and there is a lich etc later on so, shrug, I just gotta persevere I guess. I have hulu for free for a month (just signed up about a week ago), so I'm trying to cram in all the hulu shows before that is up. I'll be grabbin a month of Amazon prime after this (not free sadly), to watch The boyz 2 (I don't like paying for 2 things at once). Netflix is for once having a slow spell right now (they have been rocking for awhile tbh) so there isn't anything coming out this month or next i'm really looking forward to at all. In December the new The Stand Series comes out on CBS all access...which I'm looking forward to (can't believe they are having Whoopi play mother abigal lol). Gotta also check out the anime on Hulu as well, they have more dubbed stuff than netflix I think if I remember right. I don't mind subbed if I'm ONLY watching a show, but it sucks if i'm trying to play a game etc while watching a show, so it's nice to have dubbed options sometimes. --- Tacobot 3000 "Saving the world from not having tacos."
