Which of these would you be sad about if these restaurants closed?

According to S&P Global Market Intelligence, The Cheesecake Factory, Denny's, Outback Steakhouse and Dave & Busters are among the restaurant chain's most likely to face BANKRUPTCY in the next year thanks to COVID-19!!

Dave & Busters has the highest chance with 16.1% probablity while Outback Steakhouse has a 13.2, Denny's has a 11.9 and Cheesecake Factry with 11.7

While it reports they have a higher probability of defaulting, the ongoing financial hits from the virusand uncertainy over whether laid off consumers will get expanded unemployment benefits continue to pressure the industry as more companys enter bankruptcy

Defaulting is more problematic for franchises as Dave and Busters CeO Brian Jenkins told investors he was confident that the gaming restaurant will overcome this

Denny's says they were proud of how they navigated the landscape during the crisis while Bloomin Brands criticized this report saying they mis-characterized the company's recent sales growth

Chuck E Cheese has already filed for bankruptcy as Starbucks, McDonalds, Dunkin, TGI Friday's, Denny's and IHOP have closed thousands of restaurants already.

300 Pizza Huts will also be closed, most dine in locations that are not suited for delivery and carryout

Basically any restaurant with take out is thriving those aren't it though, Dave & Busters is the biggest concern, because if that goes out of business arcades go with them.

I would like to try the cheesecake factory before they shut down, Denny's is always toss up if it's good or not, and I have had the other 2 but neither are near me so wouldn't notice if they were gone.

I have heard good things about dave and busters but have never been.

Deny's I have regretted any time I went there, even when I was really freaking hungry.

I don't like cheesecake.

Me and my wife went to a grand opening of an outback in Apple Valley CA, and the food was horrid. I never went back to try it again. It's probably better when they are not just opening and serving a ton of people at once.

But yeah, none of them are on my radar. IF there was a dave and busters near me, I might try it if there was no virus...maybe.

Dont forget Applebees (same parent company as iHop)

Havent heard of Starbucks being in trouble, but that would explain why one local store wasnt open

Anyway, serves Dennys right for closing my fav local breakfast place, havent eaten at Outback in close to a decade and I have no idea where the closest Dave & Busters is...

.. I would miss the Cheesecake Factory thou. A nice of cake & a coffee for $15 sounds good to me right now

For me, it would probably be Denny's. I don't go to the other three restaurants very much. I think it's because Denny's has more variety and is cheaper.

At least in my area we have barcades run by smaller groups and they are usually far better places to play video games at than Dave+Busters.

Denny's - I would still have iHop, I guess... Because I believe the one around here is still open. But I love my breakfast food places. I would rather they not close...

Outback Steakhouse - I rarely go. But it has been good when I have gone. Again, while I don't need it, I would be sad if it was gone...

Dave & Busters - I've been quite a few times. I actually always have fun there. I would have loved to go again. It would suck if they closed. I don't know much about the food there, but the games were always fun...

Cheesecake Factory - I would want to go at least once before it closes. They was one close back home, but I never went. I love cheesecake, though... Hopefully, it makes it long enough for me to try...

Maybe this time around they wont receive any sort of bail out, are forced to actually close and be replaced with something that works

If outback go out of business can they please sell their potato recipe to longhorn? Longhorn has better steak but those salted on the outside potatos at outback are so damn good. Denny's going out of business is probably a public service.

I'd be sad to see them go.

Don't care about the rest.

Outback is the only one of those around here and it's been years since I've gone there.

Texas Roadhouse , Olive Garden , Wendy's , Long John Silver , Pizza King and DQ are my most frequented places in my area.

No! Not Denny's!

95% of McDonald's locations in the US are franchisees, so "McDonalds" didn't close shit, it was the franchisees in most cases. Some of those others might also be franchises, not 100% sure.

iirc, that had to do with the largest franchisee going out or something.

Most with takeout aren't "thriving." Some are doing well, but most aren't even making what they used to and can't maintain their full crew.

lolwut? First, you understand that this isn't normal business conditions, right? Second and more importantly, you understand that they're failing BECAUSE of government lockdowns, right? This isn't the market finding a way, this is big government fucking over the free market

Hmmm, nope. iHop and the Bee's have been in trouble for years. If anything, they'll use current conditions as an excuse (most will when they were tanking well before the virus)
