Biden is trying to to woo he Black vote but Harris has a less than ideal record when she was San Francisco DA and the California AG because she went after Black people with a vengeance so she isn't that well liked in California within the Black community.

On the other hand, Biden played a major role in the 1994 crime bill that sent mass incarceration of people of color into the stratosphere. Pick your poison with these two.

If you want a simulation of no government life there is plenty of wilderness where odds are you wont' be discovered. Keep in mind in those cases you are responsible for the following.

Finding or growing your own food.
Protecting yourself from wildlife and other potential threats.
Building your own shelter and maintaining it.

This shit is a lot harder than it seems, there is actually a TV show where they dump people off into the middle of nowhere and they only have a few basic items they can bring with them. Whoever can last the longest wins, but most don't even make it past a week or two.

But people who weren't too happy w/ Biden to begin with and were hoping for a progressive VP instead get a former DA with a REALLY checked past history of abusing the criminal justice system, and that might just be the straw that causes them to sit this one out.

Yeah, there's a segment of the population where the choice isn't democrat or republican, but instead either democrat or not showing out to vote at all (and presumably the same is true for republicans, but it doesn't get the same kind of coverage)

Imagine actually thinking that this is going to impact anyone's vote. "Well shit I was going to vote Biden but now I have to vote Trump!" Admit it, everyone decided if they were going to vote for or against Trump ages ago.

Again, it's a matter of voting vs not voting. If somebody who had been hoping for criminal justice reform sees they picked a VP who went harder fighting the war on drugs than Reagan, they're more likely to stay home. You somehow seem to think that only flipped votes matter (which is a net change of 2). However, lost votes (ie, a net change of 1) still matter.

Keep in mind the larger a society grows the more a government is necessary to maintain it, also I think shows like The Walking Dead show us what a "society with no government" looks like it's basically survival of the fittest and might makes right. Maybe a small 50 person or less village could get by without having a true government or a set of rules but all it takes is one evil bastard to sabotage the whole thing.

In that TV show the zombies walking around are by far the lesser threat compared to other humans and it's not even close.
