This game is really cool from what Ive played so far. Its contra style gameplay but with a lot of rogue legacy type mechanics added on

I think one of those bosses was totally @zeus . I'll check if it's on steam, this could last me till rogue legacy 2 (was just replaying the first steamworld dig for now).

The controls take a bit of getting used to, its a sidescroller but at the same time a twin stick shooter so you use the left trigger to jump

Seems like it has a bunch of unlockables so Ill probably put a good amount of time into this one. Really digging the music and art of the game

Ok for anyone that gets the game theres something that as far as I can tell the game doesnt really explain to you

The bar at the bottom right is your wisdom/violence meter

You gain wisdom by spending crystals and beating rooms without getting hit and you gain violence when you take damage. Fill up the wisdom bar and you can teleport to a secret room and choose a free item. If your violence fills up you can also teleport to a room for an item but it will cost you a heart

That's my thought. I'm tempted, but then I remember just how badly I suck at Gungeon and feel like I should probably just stick to sucking at that game (while generally enjoying it because it's very good) instead of buying a new game to suck equally at.

If you guys are talking about enter, you might not be too bad. I;m kind of bad at Enter the Gungeon, but better at Exit. This is more like Exit mixed with Rogue Legacy... From what it looks like...

Its got a bunch of binding of isaac mechanics at work too

like some doors require a bomb or a key to open but others youll have to take damage if you want to enter the room

So, what are those purple crystals? The one that you need a crystal to unlock? What do they do? Exactly. And why did one turn red and spiky?

When theyre purple you can pay a crystal to them and youll get some wisdom and possibly an item but not always

if you or an enemy hit it with an attack itll turn red. If that happens you can avoid it or touch it to take damage but have your violence meter go up and again possibly get an item

So far I feel like wisdom is for sure the way to go but sometimes the room is chaotic and the thing gets hit by a stray bullet
