Every weapon breaks after like 20 hits

i dont like having half broken weapons, it ruined the game.

When the hype and dust settled everyone seemed to point out that botw wasnt really that great and had many flaws yet for some reason it won game of the decade here

It might be great to some people, that is up to personal taste.

However I never I never finished it. The weapon breaking all the time was fucking horrible, and people defended that shit. How in the hell does a got damn Bow break in like 10 shots. And it is not like the string breaks the how got damn bow falls into a million pieces.

I really enjoyed it, but I dropped the game during that one stealth mission with the bananas; it wasn't fun, IMO.

I also hated the weapon breaking thing.

I'd give it another chance, though.

I don't think its reasonable to say that a game is bad because of one system you dislike, no matter how detrimental it is to your enjoyment.

Quitting only an hour into ANY video game will always be stupid to me. Games don't really open up yet so you have an incomplete understanding of what it'll be like.

I'm sure I didn't like what I was playing up until then.

It's like how people are like "you just need to suffer through the first 4 episodes of a tv show, THEN it gets good, I promise".

nah dawg. if the producers of a media product can't grab me from the getgo, that's their problem. I'm not gonna slog it out on the possibility it gets better later on. Games are for having fun 100% of the time, not just a portion of the time you invest into it.

I didn't like that segment either, but I liked the other 100 hours of the game enough to spend 10 minutes figuring it out and move on.

yeah the short durability of the weapons did suck but other than that, its still an amazing ass game! definitely one of my top favorite Switch games!

I actually just started playing it this week and am enjoying it thus far. The only problem I've seen with weapons is they give you far more than you can possibly carry.

I've owned the game since i got my Switch and I still haven't played it lol

Honestly its the thought of the weapon durability system that makes me hesitate every time I think "Maybe now is a good time to play it"

Like, it doesnt bother me that people like it, and Ive long accepted that it and many games arent for me, but I really dont understand why people think its a masterpiece or even close to being game of the year. The gameplay is refined but basic, the traversal is good but hardly exceptional, the story and context is juvenile by design and the world is big but largely empty.

Weapon degradation was absolutely fucking abysmal, way too fast. The lack of actual dungeons really hurt it.

Ita a big open sandbox with a lot of fun to be had, but nothing actually interesting to do.
