I just looked them up on Bulbapedia because of y'all's reaction and holy crap they look TERRIBLE. Well the Water/Ice one looks mediocre I guess, but the rest all look like compacted trash, and totally validate my decision to stop caring about new pokmon other than Decidueye, Yamper, and Mimikyu. Neat concept, but wow what a terrible execution.

I think GameFreak has been running out of cool ideas for designs since generation V tbh, when pokmon started resembling ice cream cones and literal garbage. I was pretty much done when there was a keychain pokmon and a sword in the same generation. Like it's way too much like Digimon now, and you're not even out of animals you can base designs on so why are you looking around your friggin' house for inspiration? /rant

you can just not like pokemon that are based on objects, that's fine, but don't try to pass it off as creative bankruptcy on their part. like, I've literally never seen a creature based on a keyring before, that's a cool idea

I just lost interest after Gen V, coincidentally my favorite generation despite its faults. I dunno. Every generation has its stand outs and its duds (some more than others), but pokmon on the whole just doesn't hold the same magic it used to and I'm not inspired to pick up systems just to play it anymore.

I can agree with IV and I can see why someone would say that about III though I'll adamantly disagree, but what, pray tell, shitmon exist in generation II? On the whole II 'mon are almost as bland and inoffensive as generation I 'mon so I can't see anyone feeling strongly about them on either pole imhotbqh
