I can't prove this, but I have a gut feeling Wang was part of the "Well it's unfortunate she died, but why she she there in the first place?" people who were trying to soft blame Heather Heyer for being killed.

i don't remember my exact position but at first i was skeptical on the situation, yeah. figured it might be an accident, there were claims of videos showing him being chased and trying to escape, etc.

then the rest of the info came out, actual footage came out, and i did a complete 180 because it was clear that driver was scum.

yeah, there was traffic further up the block, like 100 meters away.
but the guy who was driving his car was not being blocked. he did not have traffic. he literally had an open lane and floored it, which is what let him crash into the car in front and what caused her death and the various other injuries.

that's completely different from the NYPD in this case, where the car is the one being blocked, having various items thrown at it, as another one specifically slows down and pushes through the crowd as they start attacking it.

This hurts so much, because I feel all three of the men being presented here.

The older man who's angry at all of this.
The younger man who's angry at all of this, and knows what we've been trying just isn't working.
The teenager who knows this is his future if something doesn't change now.

Our only option may be to have the younger generation solve our problems, problems that they shouldn't have to deal with. Problems we have no right to place the burden of on them.

There has to be another way. Are we even capable of finding it though?

no, it's assumed they were. got no objection to her making that assumption since i don't know that neighborhood but nobody else here does either. but it's an assumption nevertheless.

because she doesn't just "confront" them.
she attacked, she instigated, she chased. that's all on purpose by her. she wants a reaction out of them, she wants them to do something.

Yes, she wants them to acknowledge what they're doing is wrong, understanding what they're doing is selfish and makes the situstion worse, and wants them to understand that they got caught, are on film, and can't just skate past the situation without consequences.

personally, i think the reaction of the woman was a bit overly aggressive and not entirely appropriate.

HOWEVER, i also take into account that she was probably amped-up as fuck and stressed out because of the riots. so i don't agree with calling her a "crazy bitch" and leaving it at that. to completely bash her like that without giving her any kind of benefit of the doubt is ridiculously harsh.

I mean... He looked pretty fucking close to dead and if he didn't get medical care as fast as he did probably would've been. He got his head bashed into a pavement with a skateboard from a prone position and had some massive cuts.

A reasonable person would assume that people not there for the protest, walking away with goods from where looting has occurred, at a time when only protestors and looters are out, likely had looted from the store.

If looters can be murdered for looting, inconveniencing them should also fall under the category of "acceptable" behavior.

I don't think you can consider that one lying, just them being wrong. Small but distinctive difference there, the initial vid had his head basically curbstomped with a skateboard and blood pouring out of his head without his moving. Him not actually dying doesn't remove that being a legitimate case of attempted murder. It's a horrible act either way.

Don't disagree with these assumptions.
They are, however, assumptions and one you should not get involved in as a third party to that extent. You've still got no proof. A reasonable conclusion, yes. But no proof. No actual evidence.
