Like the "worst" thing she did was knock the hat off a guy exploiting a national tragedy to rob a liquor store. You want to complain about looters tainting a movement, well she's doing something about it. So tut tutting about her being rude about it is asinine.

rude =/= instigating, assault, chasing, blocking.
the hat thing is what proves she's purposefully baiting for a reaction. you do that knowing it's pissing the other person off, trying to get them to react to you. with how fast she went to chasing them it's clear she expected something.

though i'm pretty okay with blocking traffic carrying the risk of getting hit by said traffic. there's a FedEx one making its rounds right now that i'm fine with because if you're seriously trying to stop a truck and are climbing his door he should absolutely floor it.

she did not see him do it. she did not catch him in the act. she is assuming, based on what he's carrying, that they looted. entirely possible! but entirely possible she's wrong.

shit like throwing bricks or bottles at cars is something that can straight up result in the driver's death so i don't have an issue if they floor it. you're putting the driver and pedestrians at risk.

meanwhile in that NYPD vid you've got people using a literal metal barricade and a massive amount of people pushing against it to block that car and others from moving forward. that is blocking traffic. so it steadily moved forward as it reached the block before pushing ahead.

you're also conveniently leaving out the part about throwing shit at the cars, which makes a huge difference as a human wall isn't trying to hurt you but once said wall is then you should be able to run through it because now they're a danger.

less acceptable since that's adding in acceleration and more distance, yeah. obviously don't run into a crowd at like 30+ MPH, if you can do that then you ain't being blocked for shit, there's no traffic in front of you. at that point it's looking like attempted murder.

exception to this would of course be if you're in danger should you stop/go slower. if they're reaching for the door, climbing on your vehicle, floor it. if they're throwing bricks at you, floor it. basically if your life is at risk in that car, you can defend yourself with said car. or truck, as is in the FedEx case that happened earlier tonight.

maybe we're running into a definition thing.
when i say blocking traffic i've got two components: blocking, traffic.
former is obvious, it's prevention of moving forward.
latter would be moving vehicles. are you thinking roads? parked cars aren't traffic, they're parked cars. if you've got an open block then that block doesn't have any traffic in it - apart from you that is.

if there's no moving vehicles and there's nothing preventing you from moving forward, then nobody is blocking traffic.
