It feels great +3ing a winner, but I was rooting for Disco Necropolis the whole way. I'll take it any way.

Don't know if this really qualifies as discussion, but I finally got around to do my first ever ~ rankings list ~ each for A and B bracket as I was there for most of R2 and the wildcards, allowing for me to get a good initial read on everything before hunkering down and properly listening to the tracks. I ended up with ~14 ranked songs plus a cluster of "just missed" songs which puts it at approximately 20 songs per bracket. That was a really fun-if tiring process, and gave me a few replay worthy new songs out of it. Now to wait for C and D to run their course before having a complete one. I will dump my provisional top 10 here from A + B combined so I can laugh at myself two weeks from now when everything changes after C and D.

Evenicle lost because too many letters in Toccatina looked like nucleotides and it got dissolved.
G-Darius lost because B.T. Dutch is an anagram for...uh...I'll get back to you on that one.
Granblue Fantasy Versus lost because its votes didn't survive pupation.

The scary part is that Isoleucine was one late vote away from septupling Toccatina. You can thank Zelraat for that 6th vote. And I don't think Toccatina is necessarily even that weak. What in the world happened there?

You could blame Isoluecine's match on SFF, but the way it destroyed Snowman, as well, though....Isoleucine does seem like a real contender for the championship at this point. Not expecting it to happen, because, you know, I don't want to jinx it.

At some point when something is doing hilarious stuff like two straight quintuplings, people must really love the song. If it were just a couple near-doublings, you might have had a better point.

I knew -(Isoleucine)- would be strong, it was why I immediately knew when I heard it out of the thousands of new vgm tracks i'd discovered I loved between this contest and last, "this is the one to nominate on day 1". but I definitely didn't expect it to dominate THIS much.

From my evaluation though I will say I think its numbers are inflated because of the opponents. Slow stuff doesn't tend to do well against energetic stuff, which hurt snowman; and a lot of Toccatina's fanbase is people who Isoleucine is even more geared for (SFF like Haste said). So we'll see what happens against Move Me... I do think Isoleucine appeals to a wide set of voter pools that normally don't normally overlap. Not everyone loves it of course, but when sets of people who don't normally agree with each other both like the same thing, that's a sign that something can perform.

Once, in Mercs, abilities were active that made both It Has to Be This Way and Bubble Bobble play at the same time. I listened once out of curiosity. I didn't think anything could be worse than that
