If the title wasn't specific enough, what specific year feels like the cut-off in your brain for when you think of measuring recent time and an older era. 2016 holy crap.
It's pretty bad how much an unsuccessful relationship can mess with your concept of time. Like time was moving so slow back then and I was having a ton of fun. 4 years later I'm going through a quarter life crisis, mixed with depression and trying to recover from being cheated on. --- Congrats azuarc! Game of Thrones is what does it for me. It's like a distant dream how obsessed everyone was around that time. 2013. November 2013. Whwn I moved out of my own 1 bedroom flat. I moved in start of 2011 when I began my PhD and moved out to move into a new place with my gf. Now she is my wife, we bought a house (after the new flat) and just had a screaming baby.

I can't believe it's been only 3 months. At least now I feel I'm actually ready for anything. In terms of what the world was like at the time, when I graduated high school. In terms of when I hear when something was and go, "gawd, that was how many years ago?" my answer is probably more like 2016.
