You'd have to go into the details of individual reviewers and the film itself. Rotten Tomatoes' active user base has always been garbage, though, predating the most toxic and mob-like elements of film discourse that we have today, by some years. The site had to away the option to comment on individual critics' reviews over a decade ago, because nobody ever commented on critics' reviews...except to be very nasty, in a very unpresentable way, towards critics who disliked a particularly popular review (and in one case, attack a critic who gave a movie a fairly positive review, because RT counted it as rotten for some reason). And, as one poster above mentioned, liberal and left leaning politically oriented films are always going to get bombed by right wing opposition.
