Jeez my golden slingshot broke already!? That thing lasted like two days. Guessing it lasts maybe three times as long as a regular slingshot which is pretty pathetic. They reaaaally should have made the golden tools last forever. And I haven't seen any gold nugs in ages either, and that includes on a few nook island trips. They seemed so easy to come by early on!

Also more than one villager can craft a DIY in a day? I did not know this until it happened to me today. Neat.

You can get three every day. They generally do it for about three hours and then another one will start up.

Learning that the golden tools don't last forever is honestly almost enough to make me want to stop playing here and now.

like whats even the point of them, I don't have gold just lying around for tools, it's easier just to remake the bad ones

I crafted a gold watering can because of the increased watering range. I'm curious to see how long it lasts, but I have so many flowers that I expect it to only last a couple days. I'll still make another one, but I'll probably just use it exclusively to make gold roses.

So I take it there's no way to move bridges huh? You just have to demolish them and make a new one? I'm gonna guess there's an outrageous demolishing fee too smh. I had a cool idea to take out my clifftop suspension bridge, put it diagonally and do some waterscaping to surround it by cedar trees.

Would have been cool if they just let you move bridges/inclines whenever after you built them. And for free considering how much they cost to make.

One more question on my quest for a five star town: are you supposed to water already grown flowers too? Is there a purpose to that?

I would add in a meter for tool degradation (or maybe just your tool looks all worn out when it only has a few uses left), unbreakable golden tools, and the bridge/incline thing I mentioned earlier and I'd be set. Oh yeah and for sure the ability to buy as much clothing as you want at once. That one has been more tedious than crafting fish bait lately.

bulk/multiple buying stuff in general is the main issue with the game I think, I honestly don't care that the golden tools break. Maybe make them last a little bit longer but that's really whatever to me

Yeah, golden tools are really bad for how rare gold is. It's not even worth it except for maybe the watering can for the increased range.

Yeah, I built an orchard and then plopped down my apple box and some barrels. I need to rip it all up and move it though, because I put the fence too close to the trees and I'm constantly picking up fence pieces when I'm trying to pick up fruit.

Also, is there any evidence that the golden shovel at least increases the spawn rate of gold from rocks?

In my experience, one is always crafting the first time you boot it up for the day. Well, unless it's early in the morning and some animals are still asleep. If no one is doing it yet, then one of the sleeping ones will do it once they wake up. Then about ~3 hours later a second one will start, and about ~3 hours later a third one will start.

I'm not sure if actively playing is a requirement for the second or third to start. So if you play in the morning and don't come back for 6 hours, I'm not sure if you'll miss the second one entirely or the second one will simply start as soon as you start playing again, with the third one starting ~3 hours after that.

For example, I started playing this morning at 9am, and no one was crafting. Cut to 9:30 and Canberra just woke up and immediately started crafting.
