I also learned something today. If a stock closes at, say, $50 that doesnt mean you can buy it at $50 through when the market opens the next day. Because trading goes on beyond the markets hours, you have no real way of knowing what value said stock has. Enter ask and bid prices. You can only buy the stock at the bid price which is different than what the stock closed at.

Set a limit buy order and head to bed, it will be the maximum amount you are willing to buy a stock for. Allows you to sleep and not get gouged with a market sale on an overnight order.

Should people start investing in baby-related stocks? Just seems like we'll be having a boom in about 9-10 months, is all.

Most of these are already going to be monopolized into larger companies I think.

So big news about the fed cutting interst rate again and pumping more money into the stock market

I have no idea if it's good or bad
I mean...it's supposed to be good but it's also a step taken in a panic and last time...it didn't go so well
Futures are up in a few minutes so we will see

I know a week or two ago they said mid march the fed was expected to cut the interest rate a full % to 0 due to the virus.

All signs pointing to pretty big fall tomorrow. Everyone is starting to accept just how much we are going to have to shut down.

Yeah maybe but I don't mind buying at not peak just because it is free money. I don't want to pay too much attention to the stock market in my day to day life. I am pretty sure that buying at this price will net a very good profit in 10 years.

If anyone is serious about investing in airline stocks before the eventual recovery, look at Spirit. They were sitting above $40 a month ago and are under $12 now.

Yes - it's a good example why trying to pick and choose individual stocks is referred to as "speculation" versus investment. The smart money is always proper diversification of assets, but that's not nearly as fun as gambling.

Also, if you want a great speculation investment - check out FANG (Diamondback Energy). They were comfortable in the 80-100 range before dropping all the way down to 23. So if you believe that company will rebound that's an opportunity.

For the record almost all of my money is going to go into ETF's or no fee MF's.

The smaller investments are mostly gambling(You wont lose as much as you do gambling though). And sticking with things long term you will almost certainly end up not losing money(you will fall behind inflation possibly.

INO
GNMK
NVAX
AGRX
AYTU

Complete crapshoots. Though probability-wise, if you invested in all five them each day and cut ties once they went red, youd be golden. Reset next day. Because when theyre green, theyre green by a lot more than what theyre at when red.

You go where the news is: INO has a class action lawsuit or something last I checked. I made out like a bandit lol. Moderna started testing, which is why its up.

AGRX is a buy and hold for the future. GNMK is one to sell as soon as you make a profit since it was a speculation for the test kits.
