Why shouldn't Ulti get a chance to enjoy contest season with the board he has been a part of for nearly 2 decades. It is not hard to re ban if he messed up.

I mean, personally I think him wanting to be in a discord full of people who obviously hate him this bad is silly, but he wants to. Lol

Ulti keeps telling us how great his life is, he can keep having in all the places and ways he's currently able to.

He's not wanted in the B8 discord, he burnt that bridge, has shown no desire to actually make amends and the people in the Contest channel don't want him any more than those in the general, political, games, music and sports channels alongside the plethora of other channels.

If he wants to talk to people from Discord, he should probably stop blocking them on the board.

Takes a single click to reban them. Don't most of yinz believe hard in redemption and rehabilitation? You have to give people a chance in order for that to be achieved.

This would make sense if this was a second chance situation, but there is clear poor chemistry between Ulti and many of the others involved. His consistent claims of change are well and good as Iip service, but past claims of evolution in character still have resulted in the parties involved clashing negatively. There would be nothing wrong with Ulti contacting his friends off of the Discord server in other ways. The venue shouldn't drive the relationship if it matters enough.

Do you give up on the second time failer? Do we need give them another driver's test chance? Do we not still hope the drug addict who continues to relapse does better? Do we not forgive those who sin more than once? Do we draw a line on rehabilitation and redemption? Is being a meanie on an internet forum the line for where rehabilitation is no longer part of your mantra and your moral beliefs?

This isnt a matter of any of those things. It's a social situation where people simply do not want to associate with another individual. You don't open your front door to someone you dislike. Discord is a more private environment than Board 8, so the context is entirely different. Second chance also only applies when it is a true second chance.

Isn't hiring a felon a social situation in which people don't want to associate with another individual? Yet, I am sure many would say a rehabilitated offender should be given the chance. A chance to prove to themselves and others that they can be a decent person.

Doesn't the person in question here deserve the chance? The chance to show those that their shunning of him has made him want to be a better person.

Not necessarily. The felon was hired by the individual in the same way Ulti has been banned by the individual. Context matters. No situation is 100% comparable to another, so your argument needs to actually focus on the matter at hand and not a host of alternatives.
