I am not saying I believe anything. Ulti has been very upset he is banned. He wants a chance. I said I would try for him. Nothing more. It is up to you all if you want to provide it to him. I mean, at the worst, you have to just reban him if he acts out. Little drawback to giving someone a chance.

giving someone a chance when they're actively showing they've not changed as much as they claim seems dumb. this is like if a thief is in jail and you're going "hey, why not release him? what's the drawback? you can always put him back in jail!" while he's on the phone plotting a bank robbery.

perhaps ulti deserves another chance if he unblocks everyone. until then, i don't see why he should be unbanned.

also, i second what leonhart said. why is ulti so upset that he can't discuss the contest on the discord? what happened to the ulti who was fine with discussing the contest on the board? the discord has already done much to make the board super dead, now a lot of the contest discussion is migrating there too? that makes me sad. contest discussion is one of the main things that drew me to this board in the first place!

Wouldn't it make more sense for Ulti to make his own Discord server for contest chat with his friends and anyone else interested? Hell, people could easily be in both if they wanted!

That way everyone's happy. Except not but we can all pretend we're happy while we're secretly all miserable and eagerly awaiting our inevitable deaths.

You're right, Corrik and Chris will advocate on your behalf. But Corrik isn't in discord, and Chris hasn't posted anything since July. But sure, maybe someone in discord doesn't want you banned. It's possible.

However, there is overwhelming majority consensus not to have you back.

I think it's sorta like he has been in your class since grade school. Yinz have always been close as classmates even through thick and thin. But, then the class let's everyone but him go to the senior prom. Sure, he could go have his own dance and whoever wants to be there with him can come. But, it is the exclusion from the thing for the class he has always been a part of that causes the grief.

I think it's sorta like he has been in our class since grade school. He was expelled for bullying other classmates. And then everyone gets to go senior prom except him. And no-one wants him there. Sure, he could go to another school where people don't know he used to be a bully and make new friends. But it is the exclusion from the thing for the class he used to be a part of that causes the grief.

B8 is not the only community that exists.

Sure, but he doesn't even seem to be willing to acknowledge that he did anything to earn it. He's not asking for forgiveness. He just wants to be re-accepted, which is fine, but it also comes across as tone deaf when he tries to play semantics by saying "see not everyone wants me banned" when it's clearly way more than zero who do.

It's more that we're all one giant family that is home-schooled and our parents are hyper religious and actually it's a cult and at this point we're hoping the authorities save us before our glorious leaders decide to commence a mass suicide for the glory of Xenu, because in this analogy the cult is Scientology.

No I didn't.

He said he wanted to be back in Discord and I said if he actually wanted that in good faith, he wouldn't have blocked me and countless others on the board.

Unblocking me opens the door to the fact that he does want to back in. That doesn't mean he's entitled to it.
