Yeah, they have some storylines attached to the AEW Dark stuff too. Like the Shanna and Nyla Rose stuff was really good. Shawn Spears tag team variety tour has been enjoyable too. I think Shawn Spears has been very underrated too. That guy knows how to play a crowd and make matches fun.

It also helps get another dose of Best Friends and Orange Cassidy sometimes, which is reason enough alone to check it out.

About time.

He was one of my faves growing up but by god he was in some Wrestlecrap in his final WWF run. Causing Steph's Amnesia, Getting Rock bottomed into Dog shit, Sticking his nose in Chyna/Jarrett.

The Match v Bret will forever be Bulldog's DEFINING moment. And even though the ending is a little saccharine with the celebration with Diana and Bret in the it's a good one. Wembley is HOT for it and that's when the IC belt was almost on a par with the World title. It's one of my fondest memories of being an 8yo Mark.

Hopefully, Owen gets in next but as long as Martha's still in the picture, I'm not holding my breath!

It's more to do with the fact that I rarely live on board 8 these days if anything. By all accounts Everyone's buggered off to the Discord or married/bogged down with work/bills/family/trying not to die/etc. I miss the days when EXTHA and I could stir each other about our respective PL teams (who have been middling at best in recent years)

I'm generally either on the PWB (I am a masochist), Movie Boards or TV, these days.

Plus I have some IRL stress to deal with. Nan's health, mainly which is a bone of contention in our family.

Something else worth pointing out from AEW Dark though: Taz is still a damn good announcer. I forgot how good he was. Probably because the last time I saw him was when Vince McMahon beat all the enthusiasm out of him by screaming in his ear.

I feel this is accurate, but I don't feel like he doesn't care often. That said, I think JR at his most fired up for story stuff is better than Taz, but Taz is so good for a mostly pure wrestling show like AEW Dark.

I'm glad I've been catching up with AEW again though. It's been a ton of fun.

also i think people are nowhere near harsh enough on jr. to me, his run on aew is the all time worst announcing in wrestling. actively burying things routinely while on a huge paycheck and never once doing any legitimate research, and deriding exalibur for actually knowing things in the most vince mcmahon way possible. the sooner aew gets rid, the better.
