Yea I prefer "Loo-iss" but the other way is technically correct. Just like Legoshi is technically correct but I still call him Legosi.

I feel like I've heard the Loo-ee pronunciation more often than Loo-iss in general, to the point that if I see the name Louis I just assume it's pronounced Loo-ee. Maybe Loo-iss is just more common in the US?

For whatever reason Loo-ee just sounds more informal to me than Loo-iss, even though I know the French use Loo-ee. And since his character is supposed to be more refined I just like Loo-iss more. No logic to it really, just my preference. Same with Legosi.
