Trying it on Game Pass and I'd like to hear from someone that played it. I know people were looking forward to this cause its from the Oxenfree team but has anyone played it thru? A lot of the comedy here doesn't really work so I'm wondering if there's some story hook or anything to make this game worth spending 5 hours with? I'm not far into it (Satans place) but even just getting this far I feel like there is a disconnect

I was EXTREMELY excited for this game. Igot about 3 or 4 hours in before dropping, even though there wasn't much left. I adore Oxenfree, and feel this was a huge misstep. Absolutely did not make the extensive traversal worthwhile to experience the interactions and atmosphere. I get why they wouldn't want to do just another Oxenfree....but this wasn't it.

Also it runs like fucking garbage.

I finished it, but I don't know if I would recommend finishing it, honestly. It had moments, but as a whole I was disappointed.

I beat this about two months ago. This is what I wrote in the post games you beat topic:

At its best, it surpasses Oxenfree is most meaningful categories. However, there is so much emptiness in the game (running through same bland areas for seemingly half of the game and lack of world-building the most notable ones), as well frequent framerate drops, that not even the amazing cast and voice direction could ultimately have me view it as the superior Night School Games product.

I liked it a lot at first but it ran out of tricks and surprises about halfway through and kind of bored me for the rest of the duration. The drinking mechanic never really felt like it added much and I think exploration of the world could've felt more vibrant and natural.

Yeah, it was alright, but my game was super glitchy, including a huge one near the end that said I did a choice that I didn't, which annoyed me.

But yeah, agree with most of what's been said. The drinking was funny enough, but didn't seem to actually do much, you never got a chance to practice the drinking mini-games and, honestly, failing them didn't seem to count for much.

Should state for full transparency that I ultimately quit because of a game breaking bug that wouldn't allow the mission to get the husband and wife back together to continue, but I honestly wanted to quit before that and feel like it was actually a blessing.
