TFA recycled the OT and wrote the trilogy into a corner by forcing it to follow the same "underdog rebels against an evil empire" formula. TLJ is bad for a lot of reasons, mostly just wasting what resources the previous movie had in order to go off on its own direction. RoS is bad for not just owning the status quo TLJ gave us and trying to cram two TFA sequels into one movie. My least favorite is actually TFA. TLJ is a "love to hate" movie, and RoS has Ian McDiarmid to carry it's contrived, desperate, saving throw of an ending. But TFA is just flat boring. It actively undoes previously established world-growth to tell the exact same story we've already seen. The sequel trilogy was their spinoff trilogy. If youre saying that they shouldve reunited the OT cast in TFA, then I agree wholeheartedly. That was the biggest missed opportunity there.
