I'm not too surprised, personally. I would guess that basically anyone outside of B8 who wanted to nominate MvC 3 would have chosen the original. Also, looking at the other fighting games in the bracket, it's safe to say Infinite stole quite a few noms despite being not so good (or so I've heard).

Either would have been fine. But I guess this site doesn't really like fighting games other than Smash and SFV. Super glad DBFighterZ made it though.

Capcom bailed on Infinite almost immediately.

The only ones I see talk bad about Tekken 7 are the ones that wont shut the fuck up and keep bothering Harada about why he hasnt put whatever character in yet.

These people give the Smash Bros community a run for their money in annoyance.

Isn't happening. Too much "cringe" associated with Undertale these days even though that was a small part of the fanbase, just blown up significantly for hate clicks. Deltarune is also taking quite a bit of time in development so the fanbase isn't really excited or hyped up at the moment.

Also lolward sword getting what it mostly deserves

Looks like we're going to have another Second Chance Bracket for this contest, along with a 6 day break in the middle of the contest to enter a Second Chance Bracket. A big criticism of the last contest was the 6 day break killing our vote totals after the contest resumed, since we had no matches during the break (not even bonus matches). Some of the casual voters weren't aware the contest resumed again after the break, which explains the reduced vote totals after the break.

We will also have the registered user bonus for this contest as well, where registered users have their vote counted as 2 votes instead.

Super Mario Maker 2 not even getting in is very bad, as the game is a huge upgrade over the original Mario Maker. The game coming out in June of last year didn't help its cause either, since it would have had an easier time getting in if the game came out near the end of last year.
