I only own old stuff myself :(

Watched the full anime series of Cowboy Bebop, but IIRC, there was a movie? I never saw that.
Loved Trigun, watched the original series, but I think that one had another later that I haven't seen.
Own both Vampire Hunter D movies, but unwatched.
Seen the original NGE series.

This is my currently owned anime.

Yes, there was a CB movie. It was pretty neat that they released an artbox that fit the 6 vols of the show and the movie. I bought that and one for Escaflowne.

I think I heard of the later Trigun, but it was after I lost virtually all interest in anime, so I've never looked into it.

I actually watched the second VHD movie in theater. It was at a local "art house" theater (also saw X: The Movie there, but you need to watch the show beforehand, which I hadn't, so I was completely lost).

I had to look it up, since I can't remember. It appears to be the TV series based on the original OVA series. I watched pretty much everything up until GXP was released (I think my boxset of GXP is still in the shrinkwrap).

I've seen Cowboy Bebop, Dominion Tank Police, Neon Genesis Evangelion, Urusei Yatsura, and Vampire Hunter D (I went through a phase in college where I was renting like two VHS tapes from movies/series every week or so, so I watched a lot of anime I never bought).

If memory serves, the first "real" anime (as opposed to localized stuff like Voltron) I ever watched was Fist of the North Star. I think the first one I ever bought on VHS was Record of Lodoss War. I've got a bunch of other stuff as well.

There wasn't much anime to rent where I was. I do remember some friends and I finding Golgo 13 in the kids section at Blockbuster, because, you know, if it's animated, it must be for kids.

The first anime I watched that I knew was anime was Vampire Hunter D at a friend's place. I'd seen Speed Racer and Astro Boy on TV, but didn't know they were from Japan.

I really like that OVA (haven't seen the second one), but what I saw of the TV series didn't appeal to me. IIRC, the TV series is much more lighthearted and possibly comedy-oriented.

Blockbuster is where I rented all my anime from. All of my local Blockbusters when I was in college had fairly significant anime sections. I honestly can't remember much of what it was now (that was like 20 years ago). The only one I'm vaguely remembering is Ninja Scroll. Oh, and Demon City Shinjuku. Maybe The Castle of Cagliostro (Lupin III)?

For 90s stuff, I kind of have a hard time remembering what I rented, what I watched because friends had it, and what I picked up as a bootleg sub from a local shop.
