I'm surprised you haven't beaten 12 yet, you have Ashe Awakening and the Ramuh Magicite right? You can wipe him out really quick with that, as long as you skip the magic immunity phase.

Also at this point don't be afraid to use artifact stones on realm synergy weapons, I also forgot to mention I got the FFVII gun for Barret for the Jenova fight, and as far as we know Phantasms are the future. Veterans most likely already have all the elemental artifacts we want anyway

I beat Fire-Weak Odin with basically the same team as the FFVII D??? torment, just swapped Shelke with Gilgamesh and Aerith with Elara.

Man does Titan make that look weird.

He still game me trouble, well mostly that third phase, I got close but I couldn't kill him fast enough and when Barret and Vincent's Awakening wear off and their damage plummets hard. I bought Vincent's radiant shield BSB and Odin pretty much killed himself in third phase.

Two more Odins, just wind and dark left (and lol bio but no one counts that besides whales) I can probably do wind, but dark... I don't think Jecht and Siefer can beat him yet, maybe with the Sephiroth gift set from 5th Anniversary.

Someone said the next Dream Select is March 6th through a recent datamine on the FFRK board. Hopefully it's the one that has Strago on it.

Wait so you beat Titan already but not wind-weak Odin? I haven't touched 6* yet but I assumed they were all tougher than Odin.

Titan has a major expiolt where he barely does damage in the first phase so you can stall for meter, stack 3 infusions on Cloud, AOSB and skip the second phase. Wind weak Odin is much more aggressive and does painful aoes rapidly which is why I haven't beaten him yet (lack of Gen2 wind chain hurts too.)

Dark weak Odin is also way harder than Alexander.

Yeah, I have Ashe and Reks too. I've just been lazy, and I don't have a decent medica - is Penelo's USB or Larsa's better from the lens options?

Larsa won't really help much since the only status effect Zodiark uses is sap, Penelo USB (and BSB2 for last stand) will be far more useful. Larsa does have wrath access though.

Sub-30 XII torment, so just I and XIII left to go. I took my first ever realm artifact, the magic sword for Ashe. It makes me a little sad that her 6++ awakening sword is now useless, but oh well. 1067 magic with synergy (before magicite or buffs) is cool.

I had quite a few dupes there too but I still pulled (Strago AOSB, dualcast LMR, Gogo damage LMR) though I was pretty desperate for an enwater mage Awakening.

Ticket day today! ...but I don't really have any banner I want to use it on. Maybe I should just save it for the update after a maintenance.

I got a dupe Laguna USB (not the ice gun I wanted to see), Celes USB2 (ice clone of Marche USB) and two new BSBs.

I just realized we're not getting the Vacation Atop the Waves water themed event, we're just going straight to the XV event this week. I wonder if they'll come back to it or if we're just skipping it.

So I was wondering if you guys have any suggestions on my DeathGaze team. I feel like I should be kicking his ass and I came awfully close but I failed in the last 10% when he kind of goes crazy.

1. Firion - Guardbringer, Divine Cross - AASB, USB, OSB
2. Orlandeau - Healing Smite, Lifesiphon - AASB, ASOB, USB, OSB
3. Elarra - Ultra Cure, Haste, Hastega - USB
4. Ramza - Assault Sabre, Full Break - Chain, USB
5. Beatrix - Assault Sabre, Shellega - BSB (imperil Light), USB, AOSB, Holy Glint

I was at 24 seconds with 10% left and just ran out of gas when the Blindja came in and then my doom clocks ran out of time out of nowhere.

You should be fine if you just rearrange your characters.

Put your best dps in the middle (TGC or Firion), Elarra is wasted there. Character 3 skips the blind and the first 5 second doom. This allows them to keep dps-ing a bit longer. Use OSBs with characters 2 and 4 after Blind hits them.

I'd put Elarra in spot 1 or 5, as those get hit the most early, so she builds more bar to speed up the party.

Don't bother with any mitigation, his damage is laughable (not to mention, 100% piercing).
Run Fabula Raider or Mage, if you've already managed a win.

I go no healer with Tyro USB1 which also provides HP stock, if you have an awakening with Healing Smite that should be enough healing honestly. I also use Marche for constant quickcast over Elara, Lighting can work too if you have her USB3.

Agrias is also the better imperiler than Beatrix because of her LM2 which has a chance of imperil when she uses a holy attack.

Deathgaze was definitely one of the two worst 5* for me, along with Syldra. Agree with previous post that Tyro's USB1 can be great because of Astra. Especially if you also have his USB4 to boost damage.

Wooooow I really wanted it and was bummed when I didn't get on the FF2 banner. Sadly it's pretty late since I already beat Titan, Ramuh and the FF2 torment but I'm sure I'll find some use for it (sadly my Emperor lacks endark for Alexander.)

I made one attempt on Leviathan and this does not look like it's going to be a fun fight. Multiple targets is one of my least favorite gimmicks, and I don't have enough tools to outrace the doom counter, so I think I'm just going to wait.

It's not even worth doing the bubble stuff since it's such little time and it only gives 1 character 5 seconds, so just ignore them. Sadly the fight really does come down to either DPS him before the doom runs out or find the right time to have everyone die and reset the timer. Also if you hate multi target fights the next 3 6* Magicite all have that gimmick.

Huge pickups regardless! I have Rikku's USB1 and 2 so she got boosted tremendously. Paine being a 2.0 is great enough, but more importantly I can take Tidus off chain duty so he can do other things.

dupe Orlandu awakening for me. wasn't sure if i should pull because of having that, and Agrias's, but i really wanted that Ramza chain. and still need LMRs for all 3 of them, and AOSBs for 2 of them.

Yeah, wanting Ramza's chain was one of the main reasons I pulled too.

There are some pretty good event banners coming up. In two events it's Terra's sync banner, then the week after that is the fire chocobo event with fire chains on both banners, and then two weeks after that is the VIII event with Rinoa and Squall syncs on the same banner. It's going to be hard to save enough mythril.

To be honest it's probably just better to save up for Phantasm focused banners sine that's what the game is going to focus heavily on in the future, along with FF12 Gilgamesh you're urged to use some histrioa crystal instead of Magicite which really makes beating 6* magicite a lot less appealing.

Are the current realm chain banners (2x guaranteed 5*) worth pulling on for the Phantasm stuff?

Also I can't exclusively focus on that since I don't have the tools to beat all the 6* magicite yet which seems like it's first.

That depends, if you have stuff like Galuf Chain, Ramza's chain or Paine/Rikku's Water chain those are pretty much as good since the realm has good elemental synergy. For the more hodgepodge realms like 9/12/T-0 you'll want the realm chain. Though the Dr. Mog RW chain is also still an option.

It doesn't really seem to matter if you don't beat all the 6* magicite first since you'll be using Historia Crystals instead of Magicite for Phantasms, so you'll really only be using 6* magicite for other 6* magicite, fest bosses and any torments and Odins you need to wrap up.

The main kicker to prioritize Phantasm over *6 Magicite is that there's weekly missions where you have beat the Phantasm (ugh!) when there's none for 6* Magicite yet. It's wiser to spend that Mythril to get at least 1 done early to get those Rat Tails than use it for a 6* magicite that will collect dust. At that point we'll probably start getting relics that trivialize 6* magicite bosses.

Either that or Tactics (which is probably a lot easier due to the already good synergy between Ramza/Agrias/Orlandeau/Marche, and you can get Orlandeau and Agrias's Awakenings off selects)

There will always be plenty of 9, T, 5, 13 and 7 events in the future but FF14 has gotten unicorn rare and it's going to get a phantasm with the next event in Japan (and finally it's Dream dungeon as well...)

Well, I'm just thinking of the quest rewards. If I understand correctly there's no downside to delaying the FF14 one as long as you're able to complete one of the earlier ones for your weekly missions... whereas if you can't beat IX on launch then you're missing out on some time limited rewards, right?

The more I think about it the more this current pickup banner seems like a pretty good banner... 4 chains and 4 awakenings (although I have 1 dupe) on a 2G5 banner seems very good, even if they're mostly second tier awakenings. And it has the IX chain and Zidane's awakening so it's also relevant for that first phantasm.

I think it's okay to skip a week since FF9 is harder to make an viable team for while if you sub 30 the D??? Torment you just need a couple more relics, plus Zalera looks way easier that Deathguise.

On FF14 it's more of an issue that viable relics will be really hard to get for a 4.5+ million HP boss outside of that event's banner, assuming the trend of FF14 events continue being as rare as they are (the last event banner we had still had BSBs for pete's sake!)

Might be useful someday, though I still rather use him for Healing Smite in FF15 CMs.
