The game looks interesting, but I'll wait for (hopefully) a console port. I just generally don't like PC gaming, and my laptop is total shit for gaming of any kind.

Finished the first map. Bastards put two Thieves in there and let him hide in the forests. I had like 23% chance of hitting them. Gave them some healing Herbs as well. I don't know if the weapon triangle is in this or not, but I was using Spears against them, lol

I don't see a way to make it full screen either

OMG, never hit Escape. No warning, it just closes the game, lol. I hit it to see if you could skip the storyline stuff like pressing Start in the earlier Fire Emblem games.

Are you playing with your mouse? I tried with my controller, but every time the mouse would move a bit it would jump my cursor to the other side of the map. So I unplugged it and just went with the mouse

Attacking enemies is kind of strange, or maybe awkward would be the better word. It just feels a bit off to me

But yeah, I'm really enjoying it so far. I had to stop because I want to watch this last episode of The Mandalorian

I did pretty well on the second map, but then got a unit killed. I also didn't know if I should kill the two units with names because they were not attacking me, so I thought I could recruit one of them, but I don't think that's the case. I have a save in the middle of the battle [You can save after 3 or 4 turns and restart from there, unlike having to start the entire thing over if you lose a unit], but I think I'll start the whole thing over again. I didn't save one of the villages, and the battle will be a bit better if I can run up and shop as well and get some Herbs for my other units

So I thought I got a new team member, but that didn't join in the next map. Then on that map there seems to be someone that would join, but I couldn't save her. Tried twice, and I don't see how it's possible because she's so far away. So maybe you can't save her. She does get kidnapped and not killed

Edit - Yep, you can save her. Just got some bad RNG

Haven't had time, just got a couple maps in. After giving up on KB/M because of my tendency to hit esc to skip things(which, I would probably be MUCH farther in the game if I weren't closing the game every few minutes), it seems pretty great thus far.

It's... nostalgic, I suppose? Not quite classic FE, but it's pretty close. Don't regret the purchase but I'd say anyone on the fence it'd be worth it at like $10-15 if you're unsure.

Yeah, the mouse was a drag. You couldn't even double-click Attack when there is only one unit to select. Got a new controller, I'm about to try that out.

Yeah, FE was never hard. 7 had far more competent lords than its previous two predecessors and starts the trend of having more characters OP enough to carry a game on their own. 8 is considered one of the easiest games in the series. 9 was literally dumbed down in the west by creating an easier than easy mode and bumping down the other difficulty modes. 10 is extremely overrated in difficulty and other than the first few Dawn Brigade chapters are almost impossible to lose because the game gives so much stuff to you. It's covered by the fact that 90% of the units are trash while the strongest characters are basically meant to solo. 11 is probably the legit hardest but it still has its game-breakers like Caeda, Wolf and Sedgar. It also blandest story in the series, the s***iest mechanic in the series with the kill your own units to unlock chapters mechanic, and generally considered one of the most boring games in the series.
12 starts the op avatar and casual mode that 13 is often credited to (and is a lot more fun than 11). Honestly, Conquest is probably the most fair challenge in the series despite the worst story.

Started earlier today. It's pretty fun so far. Not always clear what can be done or what needs to be done I think. Like I kept hesitating to kill named guys or even ones that are blatantly recruitable.

I did get to the knight girl part, but she was actually very easy to rescue. For one thing she was powerful as hell, but for another, all you really have to do is just send one of your axe guys over the cliff and just stand in front of her. Unless you were actively trying to go all the way around, which isn't necessary whatsoever since sending your axe guys there give a pincer to that map anyways, pretty hard to get her killed, tho I was spoiled that you recruit her later even if she dies

Also yeah the game is definitely easy. I have been playing pretty sloppily like taking chances at 10% deaths and stuff but I haven't gotten anybody killed regardless. Maps also feel a lot more grand than even 3 horses which had big maps as well. The difference is that tiles are smaller and so are the units, which help the feeling of scale. I enjoy the village conversation and am trying not to think too hard about turn counts considering it's my first playthrough. But I end up having a lot of awkward turns of walking to a place for 2-3 turns >.>

Yeah I found out when I was trying to kill that guy with the really strong axe and a bag of gold in that island over cliff next to the village. Archers can also go up cliffs.

Been trying to get everything that I can see, but I didn't realize one of the villages in the prologue had different dialogue for the princess and other units, so that's why it wouldn't close.
