D Shops should be closed boxing day

wwinterj25 12/26/19 4:54:19 AM #1:	C/D Shops should be closed boxing day Yes No Other C/D Shops should be closed boxing day - Results (1 vote) Yes 0% (0 votes) 0 No 0% (0 votes) 0 Other 100% (1 vote) 1 So after reading some comments on social media(yes I went to a dark place) I saw most folk saying on boxing day places should be closed and it's only greed that makes these places stay open. Having worked in retail we got a choice to have Christmas Eve or Boxing day off and to be honest I didn't mind working any of these as it would mean more money and I don't have any other commitments. I understand some folk have families they want to spend time with but I don't agree places should be closed, even more so on boxing day. I feel workers should be given a choice to work these days or not though. I volunteered at my place of work. Overtime plus holiday pay. I worked christmas eve too so another holiday pay day. Check this month should look good. About 16 regular overtime hours a regular holiday and then a 12 hour both holiday and overtime day. Specifically, it's a "holy day", which is where the word holiday comes from in the first place. It's not a federal holiday (in the US, anyway), but it's still a holiday.
