Basically, just write your own outro song, and then "claim it" in your own videos.

Then when your video inevitably gets botclaimed, the ad revenue is split between you (your claimed outro) and the bot entity (such as Disney).

That's not how claims work.

If two different people claim revenue on a video, it locks everyone out and YouTube keeps the money.

Jim Sterling actually uses this to fuck with companies that put claims on his video in spite of the fact that he doesn't monetize them in the first place, by deliberately putting things in that he knows will be claimed (Disney references and songs that Warner Bros music will catch, mostly), so he forces the two corporations to fuck each other, because neither will ever back down from their claim.

He often does that when talking about Nintendo stuff, because Nintendo's pretty dickish about claiming pretty much anything that contains Nintendo content, even otherwise free-use trailers and the like.

The only solution is alternative video distribution. Nothing else can or will stop YouTube from increasingly fucking over their video creators.

This is true, but it's difficult to create and grow an alternative platform in the face of what is essentially a monopoly.

It's similar to how most of the alternatives to Twitch are being started by companies with a ton of money, who are deliberately trying to buy content producers away. And how Epic has been throwing its money around in an attempt to break Steam's dominance over PC game distribution. The idea is to try and artificially stimulate user adoption to grow the platform, because otherwise it's incredibly hard to pull enough users to create a viable user base even if you're technically providing the better (or at least more consumer friendly) product.

Exactly.

I hate when people are just like, "Eh, if you don't like YouTube, just go somewhere else!"

Easier said than done. There aren't exactly a lot of competitors.

And this is where someone swoops in and lists a bunch of alternative video hosting websites no one has ever heard of.

LOL

My ASMR kitten videos always get the most views on PornHub. I have no idea why.

I don't understand how YouTube is considered a "monopoly". It's the internet. What do they have that anyone else couldn't do?

The popularity, I guess. And all the creators, as well...

Volume hosting; most people don't have 50 acres of servers to handle the content volume to be competitive.

Varg has been doing this for years.
I mean I don't like Varg but this mouth foamer is way worse trying to claim he did something first.
