seems like the opposite of micromanagement/overregulation to me

Im fine with them existing, but Id prefer it to only apply to disabled or severely injured adults, not physically abled bodied adults that choose to have multiple children . I also really wish the people in favor of these programs applied the same consistency to school choice in regards to charter schools, aka, food stamps for education.

seems like a really idealized view of how laws and regulation works. it's far simpler and easier to use the distinction they already have and keep businesses from finding loopholes which they are wont to do

Youre also not being considerate by fighting tooth and nail to dismantle school choice, which can be a childs only shot in lower income neighborhoods to get a legitimate higher education opportunity and make something of themselves.

I've been saying for years now that the electronic cards/vouchers should be done away with, and the government should just give boxes of some sort of nutrient bar to people who need food. It would streamline the whole process.

Giving people the nutrition need to survive is not treating them like shit, it's actually saving their lives. If you're asking everyone else to foot the bill for you, then you shouldn't complain when you get just the necessities. No one's entitled to luxuries. Pretty much all of us (except for the super rich) want some things that we just can't afford, that doesn't mean the government should have to pay for it.

The government is not some magical entity that can just will anything it wants into existence. When you ask for the government to pay for it, you're really asking for your fellow citizens to pay for it.
