Yes for the first time in forever I remembered that there was maintenance, so I sent my guys out on long logistics and auto battles.

Normally I plan it so they come back right when the day switches so I can get a head start on the daily, but I tend to forget when theres maintenance so they come back and are just wasting time being idle :<

My suspicion is that they have no native English-speaking proofreaders editing the text. If they do, they should be fired for all the mistakes they let slip by.

Then again, their whole QA team, if there is one, is on the sloppy side. There are a lot of things that should have been caught before being allowed out the door. It's probably my second biggest gripe with the game after the costume gacha.

On a more positive note, how is everyone's Christmas event going? Grinding for anything interesting?

But I mean usually their grammatical mistakes are tiny. Like I noticed they capitalized the I in "it's" after a comma (so it said something like *blah blah*, It's). This was a pretty big mistake for them to miss. Although at least they're not like a lot of Korean gachas where you see lines such as "Then explain me! How am I here if I'm a dead one!"

Although I'm actually kinda bored right now. I've basically given up on FGO (doesn't help that the Christmas event is locked behind the seventh singularity that I'm too lazy to beat). I can only wait a couple of weeks for Arknights...

Yeah, the gacha aspect of GF is pretty bad. Low drop rates, coupled with unpublished drop rates, with terrible rerun events, and all the shop costumes are both too expensive and bundled with crap you don't want. It's hard to fail that bad at such a notable part of the genre, but they did it somehow.

On the plus side, I did get SAA's Christmas costume the other day.

I don't mind GFL's gacha that much - Probably due to being fairly lucky in the few months I've been playing, but I also came from Granblue which manages to be both better and worse (You can pay or F2P longterm save for guaranteed picks but the published base draw rates outside rate-ups are absolutely cantankerous due to pool bloat - 0.007% for any particular SSR)

Well I ended up top 38% so that's something I guess, mostly I was just aiming for 200k for the Cooking Fairy lol (Though you also get one at 30%; you also get Kar's Speq at 50% though)
I also hit the cutoff for 80 gems/4000ea resources but that's just gravy
I also wasn't able to practically field more than 5 proper echelons, though there are vids of 2 echelon setups getting nearly 300k

At least that more annoying system is tied to a cosmetic-only part of the game and not actual characters and gameplay performance. The system that actually has gameplay benefits (the T-Doll production system) is one of the most fair and generous ones that I've ever seen in a gacha game.

I wouldn't go so far as to call the T-Doll gacha "generous" but I think it's fair enough, all things considered. The officially published rates for the rarity levels seem to be in the average range for a hero collector gacha. I would call Azur Lane's 7% SSR rate on the relatively generous side. The only time you'd see that in GFL's normal T-Doll production is during a general rate-up (6% to 7%, depending on the estimate). It can be tough to get those rarer than usual Dolls but you will get them eventually via rate-ups, rescue events, minor/major limited drops, and the True Core Mask...or you just happen to get lucky in your four daily pulls!

The skin/furniture gacha is rough. I get that it's their main source of revenue for the game and all but I wish it was more forgiving -- either ease up on the skin drop rate some, have a clear pity system in place, give more Exchange Tickets, or make it a little easier to get Black Cards to get what you want...Or just go the Azur Lane route and put everything up for sale in the Shop to buy directly. Those are some of my ideas to make it a little more consumer-friendly. It's not the worst gacha I've come across but it could stand a little improvement and really make it a win-win for both sides.

That's why I said "it's fair enough, all things considered." In Azur Lane, Cubes and Coins, what you use to build ships, are easily farmable for lots of pulls too but you get more than double the rates for rares compared to GFL. That's why I used that game as an example of "generous," as it goes a step beyond being merely "fair." All in all, I like both games and think they each have their own unique merits.

That is one thing I really like about this game: the community outreach in the monthly QnA sessions. The rep can't divulge much but you can get useful hints and morsels of info about what's likely coming soon.

Just a random thought...How would you guys feel if they made the SF ringleaders playable - but they cost either cash or an exorbitant amount of gems (lets say $30 or however many gems that would come out to) lol.

What would make them worth it? If they introduced new weapon classes? Or had neat skills? If they were broken af lol

We're getting HOCs early, the upcoming rescue event conspicuously doesn't mention a vote (unless it's a typo), and Hanyang's lewd L2D is finally being added to the game.
