CS3 Chapter 4 Day 1 complete

It's curious the scenes this game decides you can't record.

Ring Fit Adventure Day 3 complete

I ended up losing to the boss because my level wasn't high enough, but they gave me a ton of EXP for losing, which got me up to the recommended level. Unfortunately, the game also decided I'd had enough for the day, so I'll have to beat the boss another day.

Good to know they finally confirmed that the other Bracer with Agate is Schera, even if for some reason they still won't call her by name. I imagine we're going to meet her at some point here.

I was thinking like every character only gets to use elements of their color. Maybe I can even nuzlocke this so like if they die I have to switch them out.

Chapter 2 of Cold Steel 3 complete! Great stuff overall, though the end wasn't quite as exciting as chapter 1's. Going around Crossbell was great, though I liked that they swapped their best NPC for Erebonia's (Jingo for Patiry). Oh well, at least they still had Bennet! There was a lot of stuff we missed out on seeing though, with everyone locked up in Mishyland. Wonder how long it'll take for them to show up again?

Tio was the highlight of the chapter. I liked Laura and Fie's return better than any of the chapter 2 Class 7 returns, but Tio herself was excellent. Wish she'd been with us even more, but the little time we spent with her was fantastic. For the main plot, the Vita stuff was the most exciting part. It left me wanting a lot more. The existence of Zombie Crow is a bit of a shame. I guess the Trails series feels the need to make bad plot developments every once and a while.

Start of chapter 3: I love it when the game switches to other main characters for a while. The scene with Jusis and Millium was fantastic. One of the best little character moments in the game so far.

Edit: Almost forgot, Sharon's stuff was awesome as well. Step it up, class 7!

Played a bit further in CS3 but a lot of it was spent save/reloading to see different events so strictly speaking I didn't progress very far.

I've used 2 tickets and done the request that pops up when that happens and yo.

That request was nuts lol. The greatest team ever assembled and tons of interesting conversations and backstories. Lechter had the spotlight here and he delivered for sure. Not sure the backstory I was expecting for him but that wasn't it! Dammit this means he wasn't entirely BS'ing the SSS with that cover story for the Black Auction! I was sure the whole "noble's son" thing was his troll cover for his brazen "Actually I'm here representing Osborne" actually true fake-out on them. The shoutouts to Lechter's time at Jenis and Kloe in particular too. Honestly the whole thing makes Lechter's working with Osborne currently even more interesting IMO. And also I am now a lot less okay with him trying to raise all these death flags on himself. The Rean/Osborne connection to Hamel is established as well.

Save/reloaded to see all the max bond events. Honestly, my impression is that a lot of them feel a bit underwhelming to the CS1/2 ones but there were definitely some standouts. Altina's and then Alfin/Elise might actually have the best of them. Fie, Sara, and Towa had good ones as well. The Alisa/Laura/Emma ones are weird in that the friends versions cut the event so short it's almost comical. I think the Laura romance one might have been done the best of the three romantic versions. Jusis's had some interesting info it as well with the whole "Rufus let this happen" thing. And Gaius gave us a sneak peak at what I assume will be a near-future reveal unless he pulls a CS1 Emma on us. It's good as a "lets the player know if they're up on the lore" thing.

Legram is pretty great. And yeah, CS1 has some really good standout tracks, but I put it at the bottom for the series overall.

I definitely think the chapter 4 dungeon is longer than the final dungeon in Cold Steel 3.

I've always felt the Cold Steel games have had pretty middle-of-the-road soundtracks personally. CS3 didn't really have any standouts and there's only a couple from CS1/2 I really liked.

I've really liked the CS3 OST. I don't know that it has a lot of top tier songs, but it's overall been so pleasant and enjoyable.
