Speaking of combat. I had been leaning into my old CS1/CS2 mainstay of loading up on status effects/stat downs with MQ like Gloom. But I experimented a bit with the Scorpio MQ (Damage up to enemies in break) here and whoa. That's some crazy numbers it puts out.

Assuming it stacks with Thor (damage up on enemies suffering a status effect) I think a Thor/Scorpio combo would be ridiculous if others are spec'd to break ASAP + Sledgehammer Brave Order -> Switch to Kurt's Brave Order when break happens for more turns.

Also if you're on Day 2 Night and are book collecting: Head out to the coastal road. Annabelle is down near the beach with a book. Perhaps even meaner than the Coastal Road Hidden Quest with the dude all the way in the corner during the day because at least he is marked (though you have to actually go to the coastal road for the mark to show)

Thanks to quick jump and the fact that everything on the map is marked, I've always jumped to every segment on the map every time there's an update to see if we get anything new. I found that sidequest you mentioned that way, too.

I wanna say Scorpio is the best Master Quartz in the game, but what do I know when there's so many good ones. The ones that increase your break damage are also very nice.

Just the ability to set two Master Quartz at once makes things so much easier. And the fact that CP feels so much easier to replenish means I'm barely using Arts at all this playthrough.

Early on, I'm liking Freddy and Leonora as the best NPC students.

Musse has the odd comedic effect for me where she runs her gimmick into the ground so much that it ends up being even more hilarious. Think Sideshow Bob stepping on the rakes.

Day 4 Free Day Hidden Quests are pretty great.

Especially the swimming one where of course Aurelia just randomly shows up to challenge Rean to a race. She's been awesome the entire game.

Also, girlfriend watched first two Mando episodes, and she really enjoyed them.

She also wants to watch some of the classic Disney animated movies, too, so we'll probably do some of that. She wants to watch Aladdin (my personal favorite), Mulan, and Pocahontas (which I've never seen).

Wow, that was quite the twist at the very end. So George is working for the Gnomes now, too, huh? Or has he always been? And I'm guessing the other dude with him is the leader of the Gnomes and of the Black Workshop. Angelica recognized him, but who is he? Maybe Professor Epstein?

Also, I'm guessing the long-haired blonde chick who was talking to Arianrhod there is the leader of the Hexen Clan, but is she the same as the Red Moon Rose from the books? I dunno, but there's still a lot of answers yet to be given.

I managed to get some highly informative answers about Royal that didn't actually spoil P5 for me at all, and yeah, it looks like a serious step back from Golden in terms of added content unfortunately. Importer impressions on ResetEra have been fairly tepid.
