Finished with chapter 1 of CS3 and got started on chapter 2! Good stuff so far, though it's a shame some characters (like Randy) don't really get to show their stuff. They really do the old class 7 stuff well. Did Ash's first bonding event in chapter 2 and he is fantastic. I like him more all the time. I see him kinda low on some lists, so I hope he doesn't get worse later.

I like Rean's approach with his students a lot too. All this "the decision is yours" talk is excellent. Makes it so that the game doesn't focus too much on him, which is a problem CS2 had. Curious to see which bonus party members I get in chapter 2, considering the location.

I think this is sort of a problem with the series? At this point there are so many characters that it's nearly impossible to actually provide good content for all of them. I'm not entirely sure what the solution is or if one even exists, and the content we do get is still good, so whatever.

Also I still like Ash and would probably rank him above like half of Old Class VII--I just think all the other New Class VII members have better scenes in the game.

The Ring Fit Adventure has begun. I have not harnessed the power of squats like this since Final Fantasy VII. World 1 complete, and that is enough for one day.

I should have foreseen this ahead of time, but the biggest obstacle to saving the world today was doggo.

Also I wasn't sure I'd dig this extremely sports-y atmosphere in Sword/Shield but it's actually really dang cool. The gym matches with the full stadiums filled with roaring fans are a nice touch. Very hype-inducing.
