I think he actually siphons votes from Warren more than anyone. Probably Bernie's only path to victory.

I mean according to the Q poll cross tabs posted last page, Warren has higher support with college educated whites (21%), but her non-college degree support is at 19%. The idea that her voting base is overwhelmingly liberal elites is probably just due to her media image. If anything, Buttigieg fits that more - he has a 24/15 split.

If anything sets Warren apart in her coalition (which is more spread out than Bernie's and Biden's), at least according to this Iowa poll, it's that she's more popular with the suburban middle class (50-100k) compared to everyone except Buttigieg. Unless the suburban middle class in Iowa are the liberal elites...?

Obviously would have to see more polls though.

Umm. After reading past just the headline I think I'm on board.

It doesn't sound like they are requiring kids to stay at school 3 more hours. It sounds more like they would be requiring schools provide extracurricular programs that go 3 hours past the normal school day. If you're a single parent working a 9 to 5 I could see that being incredibly helpful.

But yeah the headline makes it sound like ass.

Re teacher pay, from the article:

Teachers and faculty, the bill says, would not have to work additional hours unless they sign up for an extra shift, for which they would be compensated at the rate they get during normal school hours.

In his new book, Donald Trump Jr. talks about how he went to Arlington cemetery and... thought about the sacrifices he and his family have made. About how they lost all this opportunity to make money. My father and grandfather were both killed in action. I never knew my grandfather, and my dad died when I was 9. The Trump family is so incredibly privileged, that they think they can compare losing money to losing family members. And somehow this will play well with many of the same people who'll get upset about Collin Kaepernick kneeling for the flag.

They also just happened to have the cameras outside his cell malfunction, rendering footage of the event unusable, and no reason has been given for the malfunction. Jeff was supposed to have a roommate in his cell, but his roommate was transferred one day before Epstein's death, leaving him alone, despite the staff widely being notified expressly NOT to leave him alone at any time. Mark Epstein and the medical examiner for the family, Michael Baden, say they believe the evidence points towards Jeff being murdered, noting that

Baden claimed the first forensic pathologist to examine Epstein was inconclusive as to whether it was a suicide and that a higher-up made the final determination by checking the suicide box.

keep in mind- Baden was PRESENT for this. He could be lying, but that's a conspiracy theory in of itself!

He had several broken bones in his neck, including the hyoid bone, which is more common in strangulation than hanging. He was previously attacked BY STRANGULATION and found unconscious in his cell, when his roommate was a cop who was in prison for murdering people BY STRANGULATION and had previously been found to have a cell phone in the prison recently. Not to mention the idea that the paper thin bedsheets and the kneeling really hard broke multiple neck bones is laughable.

also, they still haven't raided his new mexico ranch.

We have no idea what footage was or wasn't available. All we know is that --supposedly--- (this has been unconfirmed by federal officials) there were two cameras that malfunctioned, and that one camera in the area did not get usable footage. But we also know that another camera had clearer footage in the same area. So we don't really know how or if the investigation was affected by the camera (or cameras) yet. We don't even know what the malfunction was!

People made up their mind long before any evidence came out. As soon as Epstein died, most people decided right there that Epstein was murdered -- and no amount of evidence would convince them otherwise.

I'm not saying it's impossible for it to be murder. But I'd need a lot more evidence than we have right now. People are trying to solve the puzzle without having most of the pieces. They're like "See this is suspicious!" without knowing enough details. Of course it's suspicious! You don't have enough details! Anything can be suspicious without enough details.

Key-word: More-likely. Which means "They happen more often in these situations, but can still happen in the other situation."

Also, apparently in this massive coverup where they decided to make it look like Epstein killed himself, the same group who was able to pay off the guards, make the cameras 'malfunction' and get in and out without being seen, were also too stupid to hang epstein and make it look like he hung himself so his injuries would be consistent with hanging, and instead strangeld him and then hung him. Apparently they're consummate professionals until they aren't.

Honestly if we want a conspiracy: Epstein killed himself, had someone pay the guards off so he could do it. Probably in cash.

Either that or we go in an ENTIRELY different direction and go super crazy.

Epstein is still alive, and living on an island somewhere. His death was faked by his co-conspirators with a body double! Who they paid everyone off to identify as Epstein. Dental records were switched, along with all other records.

That scenario isn't even that preposterous. This isn't Phoenix Wright and crimes don't have to be perfect for people to get away with them.

FWIW I do think Epstein being allowed to kill himself is a likely scenario, too. But whether it was deliberately part of a cover up or just because the guards didn't care about his life...I mean, that is still ridiculously corrupt. How is that any more palatable than if he was literally murdered?

This is the point!

No matter how Epstein died - a literal conspiracy, suicide/murder via negligence, or an honest accident - it is a complete fucking joke that we have a prison system that allowed this to happen. People's anger manifested in the conspiracy theory but the root of the theory is how corrupt our prison system is.

Edit: To elaborate, even in the "accident" scenario, it requires multiple people working at the prison to not give a shit about making sure a prisoner doesn't kill themselves or to be incompetent in preventing that. And that shouldn't be acceptable.
