Oh yeah, leaker also posted the fossil Pokedex entries last night

Dracozolt: The powerful muscles in its tail generate its electricity. Compared to its lower body, its upper half is entirely too small.
Arctozolt: This Pokemon lived on prehistoric seashores and was able to preserve food with the ice on its body. It went extinct because it moved so slowly.
Dracovish: Its mighty legs are capable of running at speeds exceeding 40 mph, but this Pokemon can't breathe unless it's underwater.
Arctovish: The skin on its face is impervious to attack, but breathing difficulties made this Pokemon go extinct anyway

Those poor souls. I just love that Galar scientists clearly think there's nothing wrong with them and the entries are written like this is how they've always been.

There aren't any "correct" fossils. There's a Dragon T-rex lower body, an Ice dino lower body, an Electric raptor head, and a Water fish head. You just take a head and a body and put them together. It's a play on how real world scientists sometimes mix and match fossil pieces since they don't really know how they go together.

i think the singles meta is gonna be really fun in this. only 11/30 of the most-used mons made it in.

dealing with mimikyu/aegi/ferro/pex got harder, though.

This information was provided by the leaker that caught a shiny Impidimp, so we're seeing shiny Grimmsnarl here. The first screenshot shows Grimmsnarl's ability, but we don't if it has a second regular ability or a hidden ability yet.

So I think I'm pretty locked into Shield at this point, but I guess I still want to see pictures of the exclusive Rock or Ice gym leaders before making the final decision. Both of Zamazenta's forms are cooler than Zacian's and Cursola's guaranteed a spot in my rotation.

Confirmed: Sirfetch'd, Frapple, Fighting and Rock gyms for Sword / Rapidash, Appletun, Ghost and Ice gyms for Shield

Unconfirmed but really likely: Darmanitan for Sword / Cursola for Shield

Also possible: Stonjourner for Sword / Eiscue for Shield

I like most of the new ones. And somehow, most of my favorites got in unscathed? I think the only thing in my top 10 that didn't make it was camerupt. Even weird shit I like: heatmor, claydol and solrock: all got in. I have no explanation because these are all pretty bad and not noteworthy at all. Garbodor even got a gigantimax!

Most of the new pokemon are passable to quite good, although the first stage of orbeetle bothers me and I can't say I could ever love an incarnation of mr mime. At least mr rime is better.

Overall: pretty hyped. I have to buy a switch to play this game but ok.

If G-Weezing neutralizes Disguise, it might be able to beat Mimi pretty easily. If it keeps fire blast, it'll take on Ferro too.

so probably the same base stats. wouldn't be surprised by a level-59 evolution.

Rillaboom only has decent speed because it's running a speed boosting nature. Pink text on the stats screen means boosting nature, while blue text is a lowering nature. So Rillaboom is +Speed / -Attack.

Rillaboom only has decent speed because it's running a speed boosting nature. Pink text on the stats screen means boosting nature, while blue text is a lowering nature. So Rillaboom is +Speed / -Attack.

I imagine Smogon took that into account when calculating its stat range. Even if it's at the lowest point of that range, 88 is still higher than I expected for it.

Too bad it's 4x Rock weak in a meta where Stealth Rock is guaranteed to be a big presence, and I can't see those oddly balanced stats helping matters much.
