You're on your way across the Battlefield when the sky darkens briefly, and you can barely make out some flashes of light. There's definitely something big going down out here. Maybe you should check it out?

1) Probably a good idea to at least sneak a peek!
2) You need allies, not intel. Stay the course and go say hi to Wario while that works itself out.

Seemed like maybe an NP going off. More important than a retired Master. You had a hunch you'd find Archer or Kirk here, and....they're fighting! Whole lotta dead bodies scattered around, too. Archer keeps firing at Kirk Noir, but it doesn't seem to be having much effect. Erika watches on from a safe distance. You're not actually sure who would win this fight, and you're not sure who you want to win, either.

1) Help Team Archer, most likely sacrificing yourself
2) Help Kirk Noir, most likely giving the Grail to a psychopath
3) Wait and see
4) Abscond

one thing j remember from Fate Zero is that you can kill your master and have someone else take over the bond. Though maybe that was an unusual circumstance since the guy who took it over was a judge or whatever.

That is indeed a thing you can do. The catch is that Servants can't exist for very long without a Master present to provide them mana (or prana I always get tripped up on these) and will die/disappear if they don't form a new contract quickly. I forget the general timeframe they can exist like this, but I'm pretty sure it's under 24 hours... though if they possess the trait Independent Action they can make it a lot longer, like a week or something.

You gotta follow your heart and your conscience. You're not sure Erika would be a much better winner than Kirk Noir, but it's worth a shot. Best case scenario maybe you can cut off his ring finger and get him back to normal! Actually....Kirk Noir is prepping Red Miles! That involves raising his hand, and.....you slice through his finger, severing it cleanly and removing the ring's power and influence. Kirk transforms into his normal self, slumping slightly and looking around disoriented. You have a split second to react before everybody else processes what's going on.

1) Get the ring before Team Archer can
2) Try to call a truce
3) Attack Archer's Master, Erika
4) Attack Archer
5) Go straight for your NP

With a Petal Burst-assisted speed boost, you manage to snag the severed finger before Team Archer even notices. Gross, but necessary. You implore Team Archer to delay this fight, but Erika isn't interested. Archer isn't much more interested in fighting you than the other way around, so she asks Erika to reconsider. After a discussion, they come to the conclusion that they should grant your request- Erika isn't a MONSTER, despite what she did to Violet. They'll give you three days, and if nothing comes up, you'll meet at this spot for a climactic showdown. Kirk is more than happy to come back to this when he has had a chance to heal a bit.

Okay, so what's the plan?
1) Just get ready to give them your best fair fight!
2) Recon to figure out who else is left (if anybody?)
3) Check in on Wario
4) No-show the fight
5) You can probably handle the ring better than the last two owners, right?

You put out some feelers and poke around- making good use of Prospit's network now that Kirk is the King and in his right mind. You are able to confirm the deaths of Team Saber and Team Berserker. If this is a completely standard Grail War, that leaves you and Archer as the last two teams. The day before you're supposed to have your showdown with Archer, you're approached by a particularly stocky fellow. .....It's Wario, in disguise!

1) Hear him out
2) Kick him out
3) Beat him up

He claims to have some urgent information for sale. You glance at Kirk, who thinks about it for a second and nods. Wario is far from the most trustworthy guy you've ever met, but even if he is scamming you, you have plenty of funding to spare from the Prospitian treasury. You idly wonder if he's planning to just hang out here after the war? It seems to suit him, being the king of an empty world. Anyway, Kirk agrees to Wario's terms. Wario informs you that Team Archer has been hiring assassins, with the intent to neutralize you before the final battle! Archer wouldn't do that to you....would she? Kirk seems to think so, but he looks to you for input.

1) Archer wouldn't go along with that plan!
2) It could happen.....
3) We need to double down on security immediately!

Archer is....special to you, but, well, if you could truly trust her (and especially her master), you would've teamed up with them by now. You give Kirk a sad shrug, and he relays orders to tighten up security between now and the showdown. Wario gets paid fairly for his efforts, and leaves peacefully.

The day wraps up with no particular sign of an assassination attempt.....until dinner. Kirk starts looking a bit flushed, and you actually start to feel a bit woozy as well. .....Poison?

1) Stick with Kirk to protect him from a potential attack
2) Go for help
3) Seek out the poisoner
4) Seek out Team Archer
5) Seek out Wario

You can't really help with the poison, but what you can do is guard your Master, since this would be a really good place for a followup attack. You don't know whether it's due to your security or whether one just wasn't planned in the first place, but the followup never comes. The poison doesn't appear to be lethal, but it's definitely seriously hampering Kirk's mental faculties, and also inhibiting the flow of mana from him to you. In short, this is not a fatal problem for now, but you're going to be at a definite disadvantage for your big fight tomorrow if it doesn't get better....and it might get worse.

1) Rest up as much as you and Kirk can
2) Keep an extra tight watch on him while he tries to sleep it off
3) Go looking for somebody who can help Kirk
4) Go looking for an alternative source of mana:
-4a) Wario
-4b) all the food
-4c) Archer (with anything sufficiently steamy happening offscreen, because ages, man)
5) Go looking for Team Archer...
-5a) To reconnoiter
-5b) To call out Archer
-5c) To counterattack

You don't have any great leads, but Prospit City does have medical staff. You call them in. They seem to be out of their league....but Kirk is tough. Overnight, he manages to completely shake it off!

The day of the showdown has come. You meet outside of the city walls as arranged. It has snowed overnight- it's stopped now, but it's still cold and there's a pretty heavy cover on the ground. Both of those factors are going to hamper your mobility, and it's pretty much certain that Erika used to weather manipulation to bring that up. She is already waiting for you, along with Archer.

This is probably the final battle- what's your gameplan?

1) Try to close to melee
2) Straight to the NP
3) Defend and feel her out
4) Sniper fight
5) Talk
