I demand that @LeonhartFour watch this and be as mystified and amazed as I am. The actual questline itself is even better than a mere video of its cutscenes can portray. I'm slightly ahead of this video's contents in-game and there was a scene tonight where Hildibrand's dad chased him and they both ran like steam engines a la that one The Boss parody video and Hildibrand ended up getting suplexed. It's a whole thing.

In honor of Leon watching this and being as mystified and amazed as I am, I will watch the Feudal Frame movies or w/e.

On the Cold Steel 3 front, I've been slowing down somewhat. Think I am probably like halfway through chapter 4?

Not gonna lie I am kind of sick of Trails dungeons that force me to split my party. I just want to concentrate all my firepower on Juna and Musse and then run through everything. On the story side, don't have a lot to comment on yet, but you can tell things are going to blow up any minute now.

Not directly related, but if Oscar and Bennett are not officially a couple by the end of the Erebonia arc I'm going to riot. Same with Munk and whatever the name of the other Radio Trista worker is.

In other news, Falcom has said that they intend to release the next Trails game in Japan within the next year. If I remember correctly, this is supposed to be a Sky the 3rd style game intended to address some loose ends or bits of setup for the next arc that they somehow didn't get to after Cold Steel 4.

I just did the Keep exploration on Chapter 3's Free Day so I finished the day side of the free day. Noticed an uncharacteristic oversight (unless this is a twist foreshadow somehow) during a bonding event in the day On Alisa's bond event, Sharon only has a Level 1 link with Alisa. I know in CS2, at least, it was good about having the guest link levels being boosted on pairs it would make sense for... including Alisa/Sharon! Though maybe it's that Chapter 2 was the only time we get Sharon and Alisa was never in the party at the same time in the story and so they just forgot to set the link level that you'd only see if you cared to check during this bond event)

Also, might as well ask a gameplay question. Just basically emptied out my Earth/Time/Space Sepith on Break/Action/Impede 3s... or what few I could afford. Is... is there going to be another tier above this like Action 4 (that you make yourself for sepith, I'm not counting craftable/treasure chest versions)? Because going by the pricing system so far with each new tier being 5x the previous (40 -> 200 -> 1000) that would be 5000 per quartz and that's... that's not good! There's the U-Material path of upgrading, which does save a compounding amount of sepith as the level goes up if... but at an increasing number of U-Material and it's not like I'm flush with those either!

Also in lighter news, I've been a little disappointed that we didn't have updating title screens like recent Falcom games and just had the rotating 3 screens of the various new Class VII characters but hey at least we got Ash and Musse screens added to the rotation for a total of 5. So that was nice.

I did the first two chapters REALLY fast ok?

As of halfway through chapter 4 there is nothing above the level 3 quartzes. At least there isn't like an "attack 4" quartz anyway--there are of course various rare quartzes you can synthesize using U-Material and other things which are better.
