RescueBC 10/03/19 6:35:18 AM #1:	I live in a rural area so it's almost more of a road with a few houses a good distance apart on it than neighborhood in the traditional sense. But there's this "abandoned" house down the road that randomly has lights on every once in awhile when I take my morning walks. There are never any vehicles there and I never see anyone but yet there are the lights every now and then. Yesterday a television was on in addition to a dim light at the back of the house. Also, since about last week, the front door is now boarded up and there is a security camera on the front porch. But the camera is not pointed at the door or at the house at all, it is pointing toward the road where it would likely not even get a glance at potential intruders. There are no curtains, so when lights are on I sorta glance to see if I ever happen to see a person in there but I never do. As if that's not weird enough, while on my walk at like 5AM and well away from the creepy house, a drone flew overhead and kinda hovered around me for a bit. Most of our neighbors had their lights turned off and the closest house to where the drone was is some old lady who I doubt was up at 5:00 flying a drone. Interesting things, my fellas. Someone with some level of ownership or authority over the property has to be paying the bill and somewhat aware of the power usage. So it doesn't feel like my place to report it. It looked fairly normal on the outside, but their appeared to be sheets draped over the windows on the inside, the driveway was unpaved, and no one ever seemed to be coming or going. At night you would see a single light on inside. Later on I found this article https://www.blogto.com/city/2010/10/toronto_hydros_not-so-hidden_residential_substations/ tl;dr: In larger cities, or in rarer cases in suburban/rural neighborhoods the power company will build houses around electrical transformers so the transformer is placed ideally but doesn't ruin the atmosphere of the neighborhood.
