She's not getting attention because of what she's saying or how she's saying it, though. She's getting attention because she's a teen saying it, when most people assume a) every teen girl is obsessed with Twitter and boys so seeing a teen trying to be political is surprising and thus noteworthy (ie, she's man bites dog, not dog bites man), b) because as mentioned previously kids are stupid, opinionated kids tend to draw resentment, and thus can be exploited for clickbait views and attention, and c) people who agree with the views she's espousing have a vested interest in signal boosting her to exploit that notoriety and use it to support their own views.

The last point is a large part of why a lot of people on any side of a given issue love to take really young kids and put words into their mouths that support their ideology - and why those people are generally shitty people in general and often spur just as much hate and opposition to their cause as they do support. That's especially the case when the immediate reaction is "You don't actually believe that, kid, your parents just told you what to say because they want to exploit you and pull the 'THINK OF THE CHILDREN!' card."

But basically, if she was saying and doing more or less the exact same things but was in her late 20s, most people wouldn't give a shit.

Mind you, I don't really know anything about her but it's hard not to see or hear her name everywhere these days.

I literally had no idea who she was before this topic encouraged me to look up who she was and read a little about her. It's relatively easy to neither know nor care who she is, and to avoid hearing her name anywhere.

I suspect there are probably places online where she comes up a lot more often than others, but that says less about her notoriety and more about where you're spending your time online.

My idea of "seething hatred" would be death threats and media defamation for wearing a MAGA hat and staring down a man who approached you. I'm actually curious as to what "regulation" you guys think we can put on corporations that will solve the problem. It's like people dont want to address the actual issue. Our consumption. As long as we continue consuming what they're selling the problem continues. The idea of actually be self sufficient is scary/intimidating to pretty much everyone though and we're fat excessice cows that are too lazy to ever do that. So yeah I think we're fucked
