Do you think someone like the writer, Ammar Kalia, would take his wifes surname or be supporting of his sons taking their wives surnames?

I don't really care either way, but I do think family units are better off with the same last name. The idea that the man's name needs to be passed on is just an archaic, prideful relic that can be tossed away. I'd say whichever last name sounds better should be chosen.

I've always thought the ideal solution to this is men and women keep their last names, and male children take the father's last name (y-chromosome), and female children take the mother's. (mitochondrial dna)

I like my last name. I didnt force my wife to take my last name, she did because she liked my last name more than her own.

i think it's an attempt to rewrite the definition of masculinity to fit what these people are. it takes many forms.

ron swanson is often worshiped by such people not for his stoicism, physical fitness, or calmness under pressure, but his consumption of alcohol and meat

I hate that my wife had to change her last name on my behalf but it makes life much easier when traveling to all sorts of countries that just want to find discrepancies in your info.
