It's not about the player in my mind, but getting a mislynch burned early to put the pressure on town, especially when you know your on a time limit in terms of days.

I've detailed why nothing to this point that Chris has done makes sense, no consistency, to the point of being deliberate.

Using Rule 1 in hindsight when none of this had to occur and the "trade" did not need to even be a thing is just being short sighted.

But yes he could have thought maybe he was in danger. But if hes scum surely he would have played it out far less obviously suspiciously.

On second inspection Chris also had two votes on him too before his claim.

I think causing as much chaos as possible seems like a good gameplan. Two for one + completely scrambling town content for the first two days sounds solid considering he's on borrowed time

That being said still like the Blade lynch. Han had voted Blade too without much a word in day 1. Maybe he was shot in part to suppress him from unpacking those suspicions since Chris was not a viable night 1 kill target.

Claiming like this limits the useful information we can get because it becomes a simple "do you believe the claim" question (and really just tries to get town to mindlessly zerg the scan) and strangles the info the day can give you. Poor fundamentals to do it like that.

Which is why we should not only ignore the claim but also discuss other suspects, going to kill Chris later if it seems like he's the best option. Trying to completely strangle discussion on both day 1 and 2 seems like a really strong opening play to me as scum. Excuse me? My "not much has happened yet" was in reference to the paltry number of posts that have been made at that point, not a comment on the intensity of those posts. Maybe I'm behind the time, but once I realized there day began 3 hours earlier than I was expecting I would have expected many more posts for me to have to catch up on at that point. And since my head was going to be in a virtual world for a couple of hours i was letting l setting an anticipated time I would be back. And I would have been if you yokels didn't execute a day 1 lightning round.
