With the fall of the Legendary King, matters only took a turn for the worst. The alpha had kept the pack focused. Now every monster ran rampant and the nations of the world
It should not have been this way. Why couldn't the people simply listen to reason? It was reasoning and deduction that led to the first major breakthrough in the war to end all wars
But they were fresh out of secret weapons now, and there were more threats left than they could count with both hands

Democracy had failed. Destroying the self-proclaimed king of monsters set off a chain reaction throughout the globe.
It was each monster and each nation for themselves again.
I feared that this may be the end of the world as we know it, the end or our glorious country.

Oh you were not Informed? The producers felt these opening posts needed a bit more of an american touch.
To get the crowd really going you need to have some gravitas, and a deep baritone.
Also we need to add a little product placement for the sponsors.
What if we had the monsters be defeated by their sudden thirst for Doctor Pepper? There is a reference we can work with!

I think he is more likely scum than not but I necessarily want to jump there.

This is why I think Corrik is scum: although he ruffles a lot of feathers, he's a smart guy and very good at Mafia. HB's fake claim was exceedingly obvious, to everyone. It makes no sense that Corrik wouldn't see that. However, HB was also clearly beyond saving, so why try? For the WIFOM argument of "why would scum try to save a doomed teammate???" with a slight chance of saving the roleblocker. Corrik could not provide a reason he thought HB was town before the very last hour, either. Scum Corrik is pretty shameless, and I don't trust him.

It is possible this scum team is just super weak, since there was basically no lynch option opposing the roleblocker even slightly. Like, a lot of people nailed HB, but this is board 8. There were opportunities!

This is exactly why Panth is my 1A. Need to review what he said but I remember having huge warning Awoogas go off when he posted

Tag the topic as in add it to my Active Messages list. My home page fro GFaqs is my AMP page. Makes it easy to see whats going on in the various threads I'm playing in. I've got two other games running on other boards atm.

I'm processing because this new No Chris game is making me rethink all the scum reads I had. Its nice that he flipped town.

Plan was largely at first to bounce ideas off him while also undermining his authority. Not because I need to, but because I enjoy that sort of thing. He got results though and I can't bitch too much about that.

Short version: HB flipping scum power pretty much locks Chris and Lea as town. I have trouble believing the scum team would so quickly and easily bus their role blocker. It doesn't clear Lopen because he tried to do exactly what I would have expected scum to do with HB on the block: Divert attention to another target (namely me). Unfortunately I was looking so damn townie it didn't work. Or he's town and was scum reading me. Doesn't matter.

Corrik looking really bad right now but not as bad as it could be. If he's scum he played really lackluster yesterday. A half hearted attempt to lynch Blade instead of HB and an even more half hearted (non)attempt to defend HB. Fuck, *I* worked harder than Corrik to not get HB lynched.

Blade looking pretty bad to me right now too. Shitposts all game and then shows up just in time to condemn HB and also take digs at Chris? Reads to me as scum cutting their losses and trying to make inroads with Town.

Corrik's day one is a bad look for scum, but I just can't believe he'd actually think HB is town as town. He was so over the top awful in his pointless support of HB that I'm forced to believe it was a play. It serves no purpose in actually saving HB, as either alignment. The only reason he would do that is to project a certain image.

Plum and Bolt, do you have a compelling potential town Corrik mindset I may be missing? I'm really drawing a blank for how what he did could benefit town, even as pure devil's advocate.

Regardless of alignment I think his D1 play sucked. But playing sucky isnt a scum tell

Sadly other than that it was steroetypical D1 Corrik where he did things that made little sense and offered zero explanation. The man himself will show up eventually with things to say. He's definitely top of my lynch list barring other information, but Corrik is practically a policy lynch for me so I'm bias

Well, with Chris flipping town, seems my gut feeling was wrong.

My first thoughts go to Blade Lynch. I suppose any chance of saving their roleblocker would have been through it, which, I suppose somewhat clears Blade in my eyes. It didn't really gain any traction or anything, but with HB flipping scum, it was probably the best attempt to save him. On the Lynch, Corrik was def playing odd. Maybe we could get some explanation for his thoughts today? Also Red? Is it? Kind of hopped on to it without saiyan much in regards to it as well.

I can't say much in regards to Corrik's day 1 play, as I don't know him very well. But I suppose he wasn't too crazy out of the normal? Aside from his over the top defense of HB. Which, makes me wonder if we should say he's scum. Surely if he was scum, he'd know that HB flipping scum would make him look ridiculously bad? Unless he thinks maybe he could talk his way out of it?

I would in almost all cases advocate for a claim before something like that but a Corrik claim is completely worthless so not necessary >_>

Think this is the right lynch at the moment due to the really bad Chris vote post that I spent yesterday attacking.

Corrik isn't terrible either. I think he spent a little too much time yesterday wifoming as scum as Lea said. Like his clearly over the top defense of Hb and his tirade about how if he was scum he'd let big names live. I think he might be playing too hard into my preconception of his flaws too by literally RNGing cause he saw it worked for Ulti last game.

But Ultimately Popcorn Fairy seems best, right down to being conspicuously absent all the time after Hb's claim. Seems like something scum might prefer to just keep their head down for.

I'm pretty tickled that Ulti claiming Mayor to protect his town read HB ended up making HB super obv scum. I guess it wasn't a pointless claim after all!

The irony of this just struck me. If Ulti is ALSO scum and that was an early scum team gambit before better scum players could stop them, it might explain why some people don't have their game faces on.

I voted for Chris because it was my gut feeling. It is not exactly a good reason or defense, I'm aware. But I wanted to trust my gut, and I stand by my actions.

I wasn't around during end day, as I was on mobile and didn't feel that I had anything else of worth to really add, as the HB vote didn't seem as though it was going to change, and I don't believe I had anything of note to add.

I'm less interested in your reason for voting Chris than I am your reason for having a lynch with one vote that will not get any extra votes. In this post it sounds like you were committing to having no effect on the day whatsoever. Like, if Chris isn't a viable lynch, you gotta make it clear if you prefer HB or Blade.

"Doing nothing" is not a strong town look.

Because it is what I believed was the correct choice. Even if it went nowhere, my vote was where I wanted it.

You didn't know it would be comically bad though. You said you left before the claim. I think this is what they call "da slip" where you're showing a window into your soul that shows you had indeed seen the claim, then left without posting anything.

The thoughts you're having "yesterday" seem to make sense for someone who had seen the claim, but not before the claim
