Now every monster ran rampant and the nations of the world It should not have been this way. Why couldn't the people simply listen to reason? It was reasoning and deduction that led to the first major breakthrough in the war to end all wars But they were fresh out of secret weapons now, and there were more threats left than they could count with both hands Democracy had failed. Destroying the self-proclaimed king of monsters set off a chain reaction throughout the globe. It was each monster and each nation for themselves again. I feared that this may be the end of the world as we know it, the end or our glorious country. How could we hope to come back from.. Excuse me, what are you doing? I am narrating the `destruction of the world`. Of course. But they already have a Narrator. Me. Who are you? Oh you were not Informed? The producers felt these opening posts needed a bit more of an american touch. To get the crowd really going you need to have some gravitas, and a deep baritone. Also we need to add a little product placement for the sponsors. What if we had the monsters be defeated by their sudden thirst for Doctor Pepper? There is a reference we can work with! What? No I was not informed! And what sponsors are you talking about? And why should it matter as long as I am keeping it english? This is text! You cannot even hear a difference in tone! Oh but they can, I assure you. And besides, your timezone has been posing a bit of a problem for our audience. But we can be gentlemen about this. I am sure we can come to some arrangement. But you treated the movie with the respect it deserved and you are to be praised for it! Unfortunately you have even less power than the usual human character, you cannot even affect the plot in any meaningful way! So you're just a standard vanilla. You have no powers but your vote.
