The biggest ship game in Japan right now is AzureLane, which is developed by a Chinese company, but the ship girls are voiced by Japanese voice actresses. It also has pretty good gameplay for a mobile game.

Watching The Addams Family dubbed. All voices are great, except for Wednesday. Good god, what were they thinking? She sounds like Tanya von Degurechaff.

Also, there are random parts of the movie that aren't dubbed. It's weird to see the movie randomly revert to English for a couple minutes.

I'm watching .

Man... Moomin... This is quite literally the first anime I ever watched. I do not actually have any memories of a time when I hadn't watched Moomin. I started watching it since before I formed my first memories. It was a big deal both in Finland and in Sweden.

I especially have fond memories of Comet in Moominland (). I would watch it with my family every summer when we went to Finland. I remember one of my second cousins could quote every single line from the movie from beginning to end. One time when me, my sister, my cousin, and a couple second cousins were sleeping in a barn loft in Finland she quoted the whole entire movie to us as a bedtime story.

I'm a bit sad the Japanese version doesn't have Benny Trnroos' songs. He sang all the Moomin songs both in Finnish and in Swedish, and I'm pretty sure everyone here who lived during the 90s knows them.

Yeah I guess it is technically. I always thought it was just outsourced rather than produced for a Japanese audience, so I guess it depends on your definition

Oh, it's without a question an anime. It aired in Japan in 1990, Finland and Sweden in 1991. And I seem to recall some episodes never aired outside of Japan due to being considered too scary for children or something along those lines.

Ah I didn't know that, I thought it was one of those deals where they just had a Japanese studio animate it.

Well, there's also the 1969 Moomin anime and the 1972 Moomin anime, which were never released outside of Japan.

So is there any grammatical difference between using a past-tense adjective versus an adjective and past-tense of desu? Like for example:

.
vs
.

Both are "She was fun" right? Is there any specific reason to use one or the other?

Saw the new Star Wars subtitled in Japan and it had some fun vocab you guys might like: and both written like that in kanji. I have seen in hiragana before quite a few times. I think I have seen only once in the One Punch Man manga. A lot of kanji not on the Joyo list was used in general, but those ones stood out to me.

I remember the first time I started playing the Ryuu ga Gotoku Kenzan and Ishin games it was rough for me too. Dark Souls 3 and Bloodborne have a few tricky kanji words in them where the reading is ambiguous so I had to look them up online (sometimes different people give different readings, as is the nature of words that are made up for a game). (I have to admit I haven't played Sekiro yet, so I don't want to watch that video.)

. The "kick" () is rendaku'd to here. also happens to mean diarrhea. So it kinda sounds like "flying diarrhea" to me.
