I do not actually have any memories of a time when I hadn't watched Moomin. I started watching it since before I formed my first memories. It was a big deal both in Finland and in Sweden. I especially have fond memories of Comet in Moominland (). I would watch it with my family every summer when we went to Finland. I remember one of my second cousins could quote every single line from the movie from beginning to end. One time when me, my sister, my cousin, and a couple second cousins were sleeping in a barn loft in Finland she quoted the whole entire movie to us as a bedtime story. I'm a bit sad the Japanese version doesn't have Benny Trnroos' songs.
