1) This contest seemed more popular than many recent KotM iterations. I'm not sure if that's because the subject matter interested more people, that I was a much better host this time around or perhaps that I reset the nominations so the category chosen would be currently relevant to the current playerbase. That said, despite whatever else, I'm glad of that. I hope if you're reading this, you'll continue to support the contest in the future. I enjoy running a contest I know people at least care about, even if the endgame isn't for me.

2) What were the biggest surprises for you this contest? Any major snubs in a field that was always going to be pretty loaded?

3) Don't forget to nominate for the next category now! As usual, I'll allow a week off before the next set of nominations. The only problem is, next weekend is extremely busy for me. The nominations will take place next Saturday, beginning at around 10am EST. Hopefully the field will be set before I have to leave later that afternoon. Great contest! Kind of a disappointing ending - Snoopy is pretty all right but I was hoping for better than "pretty all right" from one of the strongest fields in KotM history. Still, fun times.

I don't think this was it, since Canines would have been the automatic category winner if you hadn't reset nominations. I can definitely say that I had a lot more to support than in Princesses, for example.

Since I can't really fit this anywhere else, for me, both the finalists were solid, if fairly vanilla. Either would have made a satisfactory winner. In fact, my opinions on each of them are pretty much the same, hence why I didn't vote.

Rukey's underdog run was fun; I really need to actually play Pyre eventually, you know, after I get around to Bastion and Transistor, yeah... Also, two characters whose sources I hadn't heard of pre-contest (Gabu and Wishbone) reached the top 30, a testament to their fanbases, I guess.

Top 20 was my early goal for Gregg and he made it, a big improvement over Princesses where the only character I truly cared about (Vespa) died the moment I missed a round after coasting through the previous ones. I just wish his late run hadn't given me false hope about a possible top 10 appearance.

I was also (negatively) surprised that Nick didn't shoot for the top 5, even with SMDC backlash in mind. As for snubs, I was really hoping that Daisy (from John Wick) could make the field, though I admittedly hurt her chances by being so trigger-happy with nominations.

I'm hoping that Felines wins out for the next KotM, so I'm not going to be nominating any categories this time.

And finally, of course, thank you for doing a great job hosting this KotM. I certainly had a lot of fun, and I hope everyone else did, too.

Snoopy is a good winner, but I was never going to be happy when the best winner went out in the accursed 4th place slot.

1) You know I'll always support you, even when my favorite goes out and I lose interest in the category I'm going to at least vote in the final. If you ever want varied start times I'm game to update while you're at work if you feel you need to put up KotM during your lunch break.

2) Despite Bigby doing incredibly well I thought he'd go out around top 15 to be honest, though the biggest surprise is a character I've never even heard of going out in 3rd.

I like cats as much as the next guy but I'd be lying if I said I'm excited by the prospect of another contest where Pokemon make up ~10% of the field and 20% of the top ten.

Begging for attention =/= Legitimately asking people if they know characters I would be interested in concerning a certain theme.

What I have a problem with is you getting pissed at my comment and then making a stupid claim that I would only be interested in 5 mute animals. My top contenders for save my canines had more personality and character than half that cast put together. But I guess you wouldn't know that because Snoopy, Ammy and Repede were the top 3 and I doubt you even paid any attention at all to what I had been saving the whole contest.

I mean, it's fair. You didn't care about the last theme at all but I don't want to see you make that claim again when you know damn fucking well that's not all I care about.

I didn't realize you weren't on shapeshifters so you most likely don't care at all about that either, making you probably not the best person to ask on that subject but for myself if I want to be interested and participate in another of these things, it would be nice to have a character I like that even makes it to the damn top 20.
